Luis, 05 Nov 2012Hey guys, i just wanna ask... Sony Xperia S vs Sony Xperia SL... which one i should get? of co... moreXperia S, my experience of device.
Against Poor viewing angles, tilt it slightly from centre and you are presented with a milky hue. Colours are poorly defined and the contrast ratio is not what you expect from a flagship device. However, my device froze constantly, and with no battery to tug out you have to use volume+power button to reset.....no joy! Had to wait until battery ran-down, on a device two days old....got a refund. Connectivity good, NFC, full HDMI out, and audio very good with Clearbass preset. But overall, say compared to the Samsung Galaxy S2 (similar price) no comparison. The choice is yours, but I would advise checking screen quality on any Sony. The Xperia P has a great screen though, with the extra white pixel. Best of luck.
The Huawei Ascend G300 offers similar spec for much less price with few compromises. My friend has this phone and I have the Huawei and the only really noticeable difference is the camera.
Huawei-5mp
Sony-12mp
Both cameras are good quality, i am an amateur photographer, but, i digress, the Sony's is better.

Has anyone use used USB OTG on Xperia S? What are the usb devices it support and which ones it does not. What about the USB OTG and Charging at the same time?
Have you tried using the transparent strip as your notification light? If no, then better do it. there is an free app in the gplay market. You will be very pleased by the result :D
Yup this one is a baby. After ICS I never had to reset my phone because it froze or something. I can play almost all games my friend can play in his S3
Sunny, 04 Nov 2012hi....what is the meaning of root in xperia s.........how does it work....howz can we do it...... moreRooting in all Android devices is like jailbreaking your iPhone. In the right hands, it can give your Xperia S extra cool features, for example, the ability to use a PS3 controller with your phone's PSM suite, or allow extra device administrative features disabled by default. It also allows you to change the look and feel of a device a little more comprehensively than anything in the Android market. It also allows access to overclocking (Not recommended: The xperia s gets hot enough at stock speeds, any faster it's getting dangerously so)
And for that reason, rooting your phone carries a massive risk, and will, therefore, void your warranty, and probably even have a negative effect on an already iffy user experience.
