I completely agree with your review. I was also a proud owner of Xperia arc S till late August then upgraded to this. I also want to add a little to what you commented.
I have a feeling that the camera of the Xperia S isn't done justice becuase of the settings. It either over exposes pics or focuses on wrong objects. One thing I noticed though, if you go to the settings and tweak each setting precisely it will vastly increase the camera experience. I did this last week and my pics look more vivid now.
Besides the camera, as for the other features, the Xperia S blows the Arc S to smithereens in everything else. From specs to actual real world performance. In my opinion there is no phone worthy to update to in the current crop of new phones that have rolled out in the Xperia line eg. T and TX. Can't wait for the JB update to rollout.

hey wat is tat theme of xperia ?? the dual rotating earths ?? can i download it frm play store..wats d xact name ?? help
Xperia s is the nice phone nd best phone that u could lay your hands on..
Sony is making beautiful phones out thr. I personally havnt regretted my choice
Because it performs that way it should be. No lagging but we all knw android phns lag even if it is s3. So lagging can not be an issue. After ics battery has improved tremendously. It has become more smooth. Those who complaint abt batry drain they should keep in my that many factors are related withthis issue for instance brightness level 3g wifi.. Etc.
Xperia S should not be compared with that1.5 yrs old S2. Its screen is pathetic although it is amoled but pixel density kills it. Those lines that u can see on screen is turn off.
Xperia s not below s2 it stands against s2 in performance becoz perfrmn wise both are good no doubt here. But why go for old ..
Just buy xperia s and u will feel the difference that too a positive one..
Traded this for GS2,xperia s was problematic and lag too much also battery was bad, and xperia launcher always re render after heavy use not good. Now using samsung gs2 on android4.0.4 and its much better than xperia s.Look at gs2 before buying xperia s,xperia s screen very good but gs2 much better phone overall. hope that helps.
Best hp with ICS updates.. no lag.. faster... waiting Jelly Bean... Peace..
can anybody tell me if this has the shutting down unwantedly issue like previous Xperias? I know this isnt Sony Ericsson anymore but im kinda curious as to if they have already solved that issue. Thanks in advance!
