Helena, 01 Oct 2012Please, help if you can: I got this phone 1 week ago, but I have problems with these: 1-phon... moreyou will need to upgrade ur phone to 4.04 with advanced sony bug problem solved, apart from that make sure your battery is upto 30% to save energy as its a black glass display and download apps which are only recommended by editor's choice because an app from an unknown outsourse can screw up big time
yes it does heat really fast specially when you turn the display brightness high, turn on the bravia display and use internet or personal hotspot. battery life is something i expect on a high resolution and big screen smartphone like this. i bought the white xperia, it's pretty neat, just be careful not to eat chocolates or other grimy food then touch your phone.i have the same problem with the capacitive buttons before until i removed the screen protector. it does improve significantly. btw those buttons works better in swiping motion rather than pressing. hope this helps.
i wanna get the white version as it looks like a boss. but my only concern are, will it get dirty??? because judging from the matte looks, it's material looks like its made out of rubber and it gives me the feeling that it will get dirty easily. so WHITE OR BLACK?
Helena, 01 Oct 2012Please, help if you can: I got this phone 1 week ago, but I have problems with these: 1-phon... moreDo not get alarmed because if minor issues. Dual or multi cored phones tend to heat up pretty fast. Same goes to my uncle's galaxy note. As for the 12-18 hr battery life, Sony is a pretty bad brand when it comes to battery performance. I myself own the xperia mini. Other than that if the capacitive touch soft keys are pretty bad, u should have it serviced under warranty. About the caller's list, i cant help much. I have yet to get this phone. My version is the 2nd generation a.k.a the xperia SL. So wish me luck! Hope my reply helps u in ur probs wif ur phone
i had checked the primary camera for capturing video. it's doesn't captured 30 fps but 60 fps..
Please, help if you can: I got this phone 1 week ago, but I have problems with these:
1-phone getting hot even if I do little things
2-battery life is 12-18 hours
3-Touch buttons below the screen not working good
4-it takes time to open calling list
If you are facing the same problems, please tell me, or if you have some solution for them..
It is a very good phone. I would personally recommend you this phone. If you are thinking of galaxy s2 forget it.Please get a look on the battery....
andi, 01 Oct 2012Any official news from Sony about Jelly Bean for Sony Xperia S as their first flagship for 201... moreToo bad but yeah. I have yet to see a Sony quad core smartphone. I hope the new xperia nexus will come with one. =D
this is an amazing phone.. but with a couple of major flaws. if sony manages to correct it then this will be an amazing amazing phone.
there is a lot of problems associated with the camera.. it just refuses to focus when shoot objects in long range and also in low light conditions... it is worse than a vga cam when u take photos is low light conditions like a pub or long range photos.
and also the back sensor is unresponsive most of the time.. never works with just one attempt.
and of course.. un expandable memory and unremovable battery.!!!
I had xperia ARC and now I have Xperia S, i am disappointed with indoor camera performance, I think it was better in ARC, in Xperia S photos look like washed out with white tone, is it actually like this only or some fault in my phone or camera setting ?
dear friends, anyone used this mobile, what's the battery life & catch the network?? i have planned to buy this model, and this model's in short period price was suddenly reduced what's the reason??
Any official news from Sony about Jelly Bean for Sony Xperia S as their first flagship for 2012? SXS was released last February while Samsung Galaxy S3 was released last May but S3 is already receiving Jelly Bean for the last couple of days or so just after 4 months of its official release. SXS is already on its 7 months on the market. Come on Sony, don't tell us that you are back again to your old habits (late product release, late OS update, how you gonna compete with Samsung & HTC?).
