Anonymous, 28 May 2012I am writing this review after two days of using my own xperia s!
I would just like to say it... morethe ICS update makes it worst. I own a note. Updated to ics. Even though the features look very pleasing, etc, its unstable and buggy. Had much smoother use with a stable gingerbread. One more thing is the ram usage is higher on ics which makes phones hotter quicker than when it was on gingerbread. my note used to work between 400-550 mb ram. now its forever in the range of 600-700. 800 is the usable capacity.
chrome browser is very buggy. though v quick on ics.
i would think a stable gingerbread is much better than an ics. im hoping to downgrade my firmware to gingerbread till samsung releases a more stable ics release. right now its 4.03
irsyad, 05 Jun 2012what makes the yellow tint to appear???
how can i prevent this??
i need to know the answer b... moreYellow tint apears when your phone gets hot. The cause is the glue between LCD and the machine. When the phone gets hot (around 40 degrees), the glue makes a yellow stain on the LCD.
Not only Xperia S who has yellow tint, but for all touchscreen phone has possibility to get yellow tint. It's a factory defect, and you can't fix it if you already have it, unless you change your phone.
Thats all I know :)

irsyad, 05 Jun 2012what makes the yellow tint to appear??? how can i prevent this?? i need to know the answer b... morewhen the phone go 40degs hot the screen has a yellow tint on it, its a factory defect.
I just hope that when the right time comes for Sony to release their first quad-core phone (early next year?) as their flagship, they should start with a 4.7"/4.8" screen size to compete with Samsung's S3 & HTC's One X. I am currently using Sony Xperia S with 4.3" screen but when I saw Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X, it's not that really big and its size is still comfortable to hold. I love to have a Sony smartphone with 4.7" or 4.8" screen, slim profile and between 125g - 130g in weight.
Ive been using this phone for 2 months. so far no yellowish tint. no other problems too.
Before this phone, i already used s2,iphone 4,galaxy nexus. so all i can say is that Xperia S is the best!
Hello, Im a new user of Xperia S, and I really adore this phone, since SONY is the most famous brand in camera, and I worked as photographer once.
Before this, I used Arc S. Basically, Xperia S is a wonderful phone compared to Arc S, but too bad the camera quality is poor compared with Arc S'. Xperia S' touch focus is so poor and the image is dark compared with Arc S'.
I don't know if it's because of the software, or the hardware. But I really feel the camera quality is a fall down from Arc S'. Arc S' camera is superb! It even beat iphone 4s' camera! I did try to compare my Arc S' camera and iphone 4s' camera side by side. It's clear enough to see the result with my own eyes.
Well, apart from the camera, it really is a sophisticating phone :) I hope SONY makes an improvement with the camera software for Xperia S.
