AnonD-23085, 14 Apr 2012hi all i would like to ask some questions about the phone 1st : what's the total amount of... more1) You will have approx. 600 of your 1 gb RAM (400 is for phone) 2) I have not used GS11 so I don't know about that chip, XS is powerful and snappy, it feels more than enough. 3)No signal problems at all. Not an issue. 4)No lag yet in 4weeks I have owned it. 5) Okay, take note please, you have the 600 from your 1gb RAM. You also have 2gb separate just for Apps, this is a lot believe me. Finally the internal memory had a maximum capacity of 25.8 gb. The rest is used for the OS. Hope this helps you.
i would like to ask some questions about the phone
1st : what's the total amount of ram available for use can i get from the 1gb?
2nd: what's better the duel 1.2GHZ exynos chipset in Galaxy s2 or the duel 1.5 Ghz snapdragon available in the xperia s ? and what's about the GPU ?
3rd :is there any problems with the phones signal ?
4th : is it laggy or fine like the 2011's xperia range cuz i got the neo and arc s and both are good and never lagged with me :)
5th : what's the total amount of internal memory would i get from the 32GB for apps or the whole memory could be used ? and what's the available for use for every thing ?
thx in advance all for your help ,it will be appreciated cuz i really need to know this infromation
does anybody know how to turn the DEMO VIDEO off on this phone as it is on constantly and eats my battery :-(
This phone has finally been welcomed by Indian markets..
but i am seriously confused which phone to buy among HTC one S and Sony xperia S. both have almost same specifications excpt xperia S leads with greater memory, 12MP cam, NFC, better screen display. while htc one S has got a better design, upfraded OS, advanced GPU and weighs less.
htc one s is still to arive in India...is it worth waiting for it or should i get my hands on dis device?????
can please some one help me out!!!!!!

i hope for the ICS update Sony will port the tablet S interface to all future Xperia Phone because Tablet S interface is awesome and excellent.
I have samsung galaxy s2. It is the best phone ever. I love this phone and this is my dream phone. Now I have bought xperia s. It is good phone with great picture and sound quality and it is very good looking and stylish phone.
ics is around the corner ,so wait a bit and this unit will rock after the update
galaxy s2 come on dont compare sony s the beauty with the beast ,s2 is horrible looking ,all plastic ,dont be silly just buy one and c the diffrence ,samsung phones look alike all of them so boring atleast sony has the guts to bring something new each time they launch a handset ,my wife uses arc ,my baby uses text and me sony s ofcourse ,so its all sony for us and r very satisfied with it ,so sony anytime people
Never ever take any of the Xperia series phones they are hopeless in terms of battery life, response time, speed and often hung with force closes of applications. The support is very poor from Sony ericsson. If you still wanna go for Xperia series for the sake of audio of video then we have really decent options from other manufacturers.
Kareem, 14 Apr 2012Greatest handset I've ever had,,, only one question >>> there is no Normal Video Call... morenothing you can do, it is so much lamentable that traditional gsm video-call is not supported on this phone. you gotta use skype or somethin like that.. :(
can i use beats or sennheiser earphones with it...i am currently using an X8, but i use an ipod touch for my music...just because i have to use different earphones for both the devices...and the earphones that came with the X8 is just horseshit...i want to buy this phone and i want to use a good pair of earphones with it...any ideas guys...i tried using my ipod earphones with the X8...it doesnt work...can any one give me some info on this....
Sony doesn't provide good software support. They take their time in releasing new versions. This phone was released in 2012 and still no ICS. I had a X10 mini. They stopped the upgrade with Froyo. Just because there were great developers in XDA, I ran 2.3 Gingerbread. Sony doesn't have the thing to create good smartphones.
For example the specs are all great still only a 1.5 Dual core which is a qualcomm chip.. This chip has been proved to be slower than 1.2 Ghz dual core Exynos. And the GPU is just normal compared to other manufacturers. And Sony's smartphone market share is consistently flowing down!
Greatest handset I've ever had,,, only one question >>> there is no Normal Video Calling option in the phone though it has a front camera,,, any Idea about any app that makes the phone able to perform a normal Video call ???
