Sony doesn't provide good software support. They take their time in releasing new versions. This phone was released in 2012 and still no ICS. I had a X10 mini. They stopped the upgrade with Froyo. Just because there were great developers in XDA, I ran 2.3 Gingerbread. Sony doesn't have the thing to create good smartphones.
For example the specs are all great still only a 1.5 Dual core which is a qualcomm chip.. This chip has been proved to be slower than 1.2 Ghz dual core Exynos. And the GPU is just normal compared to other manufacturers. And Sony's smartphone market share is consistently flowing down!
Greatest handset I've ever had,,, only one question >>> there is no Normal Video Calling option in the phone though it has a front camera,,, any Idea about any app that makes the phone able to perform a normal Video call ???
Please i dont know why my default browser on my Xperia S has stopped working and i cant download another browser from the market app. however the internet still works for my facebook, twitter and on laptop via hotspot tethering from the phone. help pls

Don't know which one is correct.
But I don't think they will launch SXS with 512 MB RAM.
Unreal, 13 Apr 2012Hey sri, Even iam having the same issue ... tell me what needs to be done I have this phone for one month now. I said the same as you, ' where is my 400m of missing memory?' They told me 200 was for one thing and 200 for another. Something to do with internal running of the phone. This would leave me approx. 600 for internal. OK guys I am not a technical minded person and I'm sorry but I can't remember the names of the things in the phone that uses this 400. Maybe you will know. Hope this helps.
[deleted post]If what you said here is true, it means battery life is crap...

So i guess for this one should be even better. good luck with your choice but i`m waiting for tuesday to pick up my new SXS :X

Unreal, 13 Apr 2012Hey sri, Even iam having the same issue ... tell me what needs to be done The rest of the ram that you don't see is being used by the android system itself. I do find it rather interesting though, that on Sony's Dev Blog they explain how ICS uses 340 mb, while it seems their gingerbread version is using 360. All in all though, you shouldn't have to worry about it, since 400 free is really good and even phones like Galaxy Nexus have the same.
