The grey bar is actually an antenna, you can see wire grid inside it. The grey bar also light up every time you push the 3 dots button, look stylish a little bit (for me)especially in the dark. Not all apps need to buy, there're a lot free apps in Android market. But, most popular/professional apps needs to buy like Office Suite Pro
Hey this is terrible ,
On India's website it says RAM is 512 MB for Xperia S as compared to the 1 GB being said everywhere. We are not gonna pay you for 512 MB . You just lost a fan .
Right I'm hoping to get this phone, forgive my ignorance but what is that grey box on the bottom of the phone?
I'm an iPhone user and well Android market is new to me, do most apps cost money? And bit cheeky but is there a way to unlock this phone to all networks?
As I was hoping to remove the firmware and see if I can put the ICS4 on and find a way to unlock it.
bravia in action .only sony what,s the pic quality ,loock musthttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjZNJcVlkBA
Hi.. I got my Xperia S 2 days back, When i checked my RAM usage in "Running service" it shows 224MB used and 400MB free. So i got totally 624MB RAM instead of 0.98GB or 1 GB?? Did anyone face this issue??
Finally Sony Xperia S is launched in India after very long wait. Hope it will do good in Indian market. But the price would be a concern. Lets see. Also hope will compete Samsung phone..
Qonquistador, 11 Apr 2012Pretty cool phone, if you ask meI didn't really ask you

To all who have this phone, hows the battery compared to the Iphone 4S.
From Vancouver =)
this phone is no way near in s2....in trams of speed .....s2s gpu and processor is far better thn adreno gpu ....although xperia s has great camera than s2....
one of the greatest smartphone I had my hands-on. I have nothing against samsung galaxy or iphone as both are great phones but this one outshines both of them. Using it since the day it arrived & still in love with it. The auto-focus feature is abit slow but with android-ICS4.0 update it will be fixed(as per internet info.
Its a great phne..i baught it yesterday.looking good.bt any one tell me it has wifi direct?plz reply as soon..
Harish Gadgil, 12 Apr 2012I will definitely wait for the ice cream sandwich version (Android 4.0) rather than buying it ... moreI think it is better to buy it when it still is on GB because too many apps and games are not supported on ICS, and ICS is actually slowing down everything making phones lag and it overheats often. GB handles multitasking a lot better than ICS! 4.0.3 is still a beta, even tvough it has been released as an "official" release, but I hope 4.0.4 or 4.0.5 will be what ICS is supposed to be, but that is many months from today!
Really I can not choose from 2 phones ( Sony Xperia S & HTC Sensation XE )
Really they are 95 % identically the same and I want here people who buy the phones or try them for good period to help me to choose between them.
I will not buy another phone only one of them and thank you every body :D
Qonquistador, 11 Apr 2012Pretty cool phone, if you ask meIs it a good phone?
I will definitely wait for the ice cream sandwich version (Android 4.0) rather than buying it right now (android gingerbread 2.3) Definitely worth the wait. No point in buying it right away. May be even more wait, as sony will definitely release a smart phone with 3D image capture plus 3D video capture & 2GB RAM & quad-core processor & memory card slot, I think.
