I really love the specs on the Sony Xperia S, and even though the graphics cards lacks slightly to the htc one x, and is not quad core, it really does fit all my requirements.
This is my question: I am currently looking for a phone that is capable of recording audio to a really high clarity level, since I require it on a day to day basis and prefer carrying an all in one phone, than a separate voice recorder, can anyone suggest a good phone that can do the trick for me.
Is it also possible to compare this Xperia S with Samsung galaxy SII to it's audio clarity.
I wonder why "lack of gorilla glass" was included in the PRO's portion. Anyways, personally I don't find the GPU not a big problem, bacause if you would try to check xperia play it only has GPU of 205 and yet games performs well, maybe its about how sony optimizes it's hardware for games. About the screen size 4.3 is more than enough, there was even a survey made that the acceptable screen size for mobile phones nowadays is between 3.7 to 5 (please correct me about this one) About the memory card and the battery I agree with you but then again it still depends on the user. Finally 2.3 is okay as long as ICS will be available for update.
Did you noticed that when you focus with shutter halfpress the focus set shows a blurry image even if you saw it before focus lock that focus is ok? And the image taken is ok. But you cannot be sure of that before.
kunnummal, 08 Apr 2012may i know that sony xperia LT 26U having outlook synchronise facilities available or not?Yeah, stupid Pc Companion won't let me just synchronize Outlook just with Xperia, it needed a valid Gmail account for uploading contacts there, then phone synchro with gmail. It exist the option 'just copy contacts from pc' but somehow it ask you for your old phone (other option inPc Companion) and it just can't directly copy contacts from outlook.
SONY XPERIA S
12 MP CAMERA( fast shooting from Standby)
High pixel 342 ppi( Good for Brower usage and Ebook reading)
Neat Look and feel
Dual core 1.5 ( Sufficient for this year not sure for next year )
Lack of gorilla glass
v2.1 ( very old technology as not even v3.0HS as opposed to v4.0 available)
Very weak gpu 220( Not sufficient for future games or HD games)
NO SD CARD SLOT
Disappointing old 2.3 OS as opposed to Current V4.03 ICS

rockzzz, 08 Apr 2012Your review is honest. Could you please tell me what are the major differences you have found ... moreIOS and ANDROID were never similar.ANDROID is an OS with a lots of possibilities and highly customizable. On the other hand IOS are a bug free restricted phones. You just cannot compare between OS,strictly depends on the person who wants to use it.I myself used android for several years but I still prefer iphones, who has time for customisation.OS's are created with a concept to ease peoples life and with more possibilities.
Liju, 09 Apr 2012I am planning to buy Sony Xperia S.But I am in real trouble as many of the users facing displa... moreThe models said to have factory defects are just few some fan boys over react and just make it over rated to bring down SONY. Thus having this issue is a 1:10000 or less than 1% in ratio.. I advice you to check the unit before buying it, it would somehow help but in case u encounter the problem sony provided a free replacement for this units with issues you can also manage to compromise your product from your direct seller/ store where you bought it as it is covered by the consumers protection law which i guess you have in your country. 2nd SONY: small yellow thing in the screen in very few units when heat up to high temp SAMSUNG: BLUE screen in all their products.. what would you choose a real born defect? which cannot be replace cause they find it normal hahahahaha the issue about the XS screen is something you should not worrie about believe me its a great phone.
What is happening earlier this morning the rating was so high then after few hours it went down to 8.3 with less than a thousand additional votes.. hmmmmmmm somebody is paying desperately

I had this phone until this morning. I bought this phone a week ago and had problems with the screen when it gets warm. I had it replaced but it happened again. I was sad. I really loved the phone but had to change to other unit because I feared that it happens again and I have no time to have it replaced again.
This phone is awesome, I tell you. But be careful because you might get a unit like mine.

Finally bought this baby! Forget about what people have to say seriously you need to buy the phone to know exactly how special it is! Performance, looks, camera, all amazing! Even with no external memory and non-removable battery, you can still live with this phone without noticing these flaws!! I cant even call them flaws..
anyway just thought I'd share my opinion with those still in doubt. :)
