AnonD-48563, 30 Mar 2012hello peeps, i just got xperia s today and OMG i just cant find a word describes this truly am... moreHey You Said You Had iPhone 4s Is The Camera Of Xperia S Is Better Then iPhone 4s... Coz I Found This http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/mobile-phones/sony-xperia-s-review-50006606/?tag=mncol;txt...Please Reply.I'm Buying This Phone Within A Few Days
sorry for late response..sony xperia's battery is not bad at all, i hear people complain alot abut the battery, it last like 15 hours with me, i turned off 3g/wifi and i use it reguraly..to be honest chargers was made for a reason lol so it doesnt matter if u have to charge it twice a day.
iphone 4 was the best battery i had in all the phones that i'd mentioned erlier, second was the note and last is this one. so i give the battery rate 8/10.
hope this helps :)
New Buyer, 30 Mar 2012Guys, I'm willing to buy either Xperia S OR Galaxy S2 tomorrow , I need your urgebt practical ... moreThe S2 is most powerfull as i personally experienced xperia s is just a piece of scrap....
New Buyer, 30 Mar 2012Guys, I'm willing to buy either Xperia S OR Galaxy S2 tomorrow , I need your urgebt practical ... moreI recommend you should take a look at the comparison of two by our very own GsmArena @ http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_s_vs_samsung_galaxy_s_ii-review-734.php
IN MY OPINION
In my opinion Xperia S is better as it has got better screen, camera and will be good as it is the current Sony's flagship and hence will get a lot of developer support it's just that you will have to download a Video Player app from android market but that does not matter as it is easily availale for free in the Android market/ Google Play Store..
wheras Samsung Galaxy S II is almost an year old now and would not be getting much developer support and even the company's own support as soon as the Samsung Galaxy S III would be launched
And if you want to go with something better then go for the HTC One S because it has very powerful processor the snapdragon s4 with 2 krait cores (krait is a lot better than the previous ones) or if you are in the USA then i shall recommend you the HTC One X for the AT&T as it has got the same Snapdragon S4 Processor which is indeed very powerful.
And if you are not in USA go for Xperia S, but never go for the HTC One X international version as it has the stupid Tegra 3 which is very much responsible for draining a lot of battery and i just don't like it..!!
Depends on you
IF YOU ARE IN US:
wait for the htc one x for AT&T or if you just can't wait then go for Xperia S as it is also the top phone from Sony yet
IF YOU ARE NOT IN US:
Definitely go for the Xperia S if you can't wait or else go for the HTC ONE S if you can wait as it has got a powerful processor but having a little less display resolution though but that does not actually matter a lot..!!
New Buyer, 30 Mar 2012Guys, I'm willing to buy either Xperia S OR Galaxy S2 tomorrow , I need your urgebt practical ... moreGs2 is a gr8 phn in all aspects with only major difference is resolution, pixel density is 217 where as xperia s has stunning 342,but that only matters in only yours preference besides gs2s screen is super amoled plus .The camera should not be considered as a great upgrade as in my experience photos look the same res, only cons are gs2 produces cooler color thats all ,video recording is same.you will get 20% more ram in gs2 besides its benchmarks are slightly better.
I think gs2 is too light and plasticy and a little less beautiful than xperia s but that too is your preference.
So resolution and build quality is the first thing to judge in your view when you are buying anyone of them .
My only suggestion is only buy gs2 if you get it less than two third the price of xperia s.
why not s4 chipset why sony this phone looks good only until sgs3 is launched
b1acktiger, 30 Mar 2012Wow Sony ! Congratulations You just copied the HTC Touch Diamond2 Design.hold the phone in your hand and you will say OMG sony
my only point is why sony not used s4 chipset i dont think s3 adreno 220 can handle 720p pixels hd games will run at barely 30 frames
excellent phone ,excellent design ,specs are really getting me frustrated(720p screen especially) as i dont have a single penny to buy it ,i own xperia arc and id like to give anyone some advice who wants to buy it. going through gsmarena review i find the weakest point is its still camera quality(its far below the n8 of my friends) and at some point arc is better in stills.sound quality has some distortion and poor stereo crosstalk reading.rubbish earphones included,i use ultimate ears.video recording still at 30fps .I bet it wont give battery backup more than a day and a half on heavy usage, sgs 3 is another gr8 phn which may come near to it but still dont buy anything without going thru reviews.
RUINED, 31 Mar 2012This phone is ruined by its software bugs... camera problems, lockscreen warps, force close... morethe unit that I have tried does not have these issues you've mentioned,so this means that whither u have a defected unit (contact sony) or u r lieying
The full reviews out, pretty extensive but unfortunately doesn't talk about the battery life which seems to be the biggest and most common problem faced by all.
