download firmware file ftf xperia s and instaled flashtool xperia with driver on pc. Open flashtool, choose flash mode and file ftf. Than conected xperia s off mode and push volume down to conect to pc, wait until all process done. Still use ics 4.0.4 for xperia s.

I had this phone for 3 years and let me tell you: IT'S AWESOME! Doesn't have bugs, or any problems. No game is gonna lag on Sony xperia s! Only bad thing about it is that you can't put in any type of SD card. But you will have 32 GB of space and the system doesn't take any space up. I recommend this phone for gamers and selfie takers.

But I recommend you to wait until the X series fully release.
Then the Z5 lines will go down.
All 3 cameras on the Z5 lines got the same spec and performance.
Depends on your prefer screen size.

I have my xperia S since 2013, currently running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, works wonders, 12MP 1080p, 32GB (27GB for the user), I have no problem, happy with this smartphone 2012.
just change it for a superior smartphone in all characteristics (camera, ram, storage, cores, etc.),.

Downgrade os to ics 4.0.4 is good solution for good temperature and battery life.
ii use this phone still half an hour it temperature increase to 47'C
the phone upgrade to android 4.1.2 jelly bean, the camera cannot work......

I bought the phone in 2013 and i absolutely love it. though it is my backup phone for my other line now but i cherish as it was my 1st android phone.
I plan to keep it forever.
