Anonymous, 25 Jan 2012Believe me. Some time i need more space and some time not. No one know what they need how ... moreOh wow, did it occur to you that you can still use your 32 GB card with a new phone? Meaning that you can have some 60+ GB if combined with the phone's 32 GB internal memory, all in all without spending extra on a new micro SD? Do you get this logical thinking? And you complain about running out of memory after 6 months? Do you see the advantages of a card slot at all? Being able to swap memory cards when needed? Sharing large data to people via card slots of other mobile devices? No? You don't? You need help.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2012Really? You don't want 32GB more for just US$58 for a micro SD? Mobile phone models from 16GB ... moreBelieve me.
Some time i need more space and some time not.
No one know what they need how much memory they need, last time i have 16 GIG memory and fits me perfect for 6 months when i use more picture/video and aplications (like Navigation) i need more than 16 GIG and again i have to buy a 32 GIG card, so i spent 30,00 Euro for 16 GIG ultra and later 32 GIG ultra 70,00 Euro...............that's 100,- Euro after i buy my Arc.
That's why Sony do a good job with that.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2012No one care memory slot those days, and it has nothing to do with Apple strategie. Sony did... moreReally? You don't want 32GB more for just US$58 for a micro SD? Mobile phone models from 16GB to 32GB have US$100 price difference. Do the math. Even if i did get this 32GB unit, I don't mind having another an extra 32 or 64 GB (which is around the corner)! Imagine having a powerful mobile unit that has some 90 GB capacity of data and movies to go! Make some sense before commenting!

Setting> Display> Screen Mode> Movie. Find out before concluding. Demo units at stores could be set on Dynamic or Standard mode, which are over saturated in colors. Those over saturations are so that you see the screen better against daylight.
Parag bagade, 25 Jan 2012if what ur friend was saying is true ,sorry to say but he does not know how to use sgs2 there ... moreYes, there is a setting for what screen mode or to what saturation level in Samsung's HD Super AMOLED screens. The most realistic rendering is the movie mode. The most saturation is dynamic mode. I happen to had recommended 12 HD Bravia Sony TVs for a museum project yesterday. I think Sony has excellent TV displays. It's just that everyone should know HD Super AMOLED screens have "normal" less saturated rendering than what is probably being set at the shops. Keep an open mind, dear extreme Sony fans and "staff"'.
hi to all UK guys, The Sony Xperia S will be released on 5 March and will be priced at £429.99 (inc VAT) SIM-free. enjoy your life with our sony....!
andi, 25 Jan 2012I agree. AMOLED does not produce real colors. It produces over-saturated colors not real. I've... moreif what ur friend was saying is true ,sorry to say but he does not know how to use sgs2 there r many screen settings in sgs2 he must be using it with low brightness with standerd screen mode while u were comparing it with good for nothing s x arc that doesnt even have gorilla glass why dont u do one thing just read the review for sgs2 done by gsmarena for screen if u dont belive me again fact remains the same if u belive it or not .and stop getting fooled by "sony staff" there is no sony staff on these posts its just a blind sony fanboy like apple blind fanboy. c'mon guys use ur brains.
where can we see true correct specs, i have read several and they all differ, i would have thought the sony website itself would be correct which i'm sure i read supports memory card and says doesnt have sms messaging ??
I agree with "sony staff", compared to SAMOLED, its better compare all bravia engine equipped handsets with samoled. colors are better. and that's based on my experience.
Anonymous, 25 Jan 2012I believe the Amoled screens from Samungs is the biggest joke in human history. It's just over... moreI agree. AMOLED does not produce real colors. It produces over-saturated colors not real. I've got Xperia Arc and one of our IT got the Galaxy S2 and when we compare the color, Xperia Arc is far better and my friend was amazed and agreed that Xperia Arc color rendering is better.
sevemas, 24 Jan 2012Hope soon Sony brand start use carls-zeins lenses on the phones. they don't need carls zeiss lenses because their lens is much more superior. Compare a Nokia phone with Carl Zeiss lens to a Sony Ericsson cybershot phone and see the difference
i totaly agree that amoled secreen are joke for world, far behind reality display,i checked many times side by side and amoled nothing compareble.sony is best of world in lcd, led, cameras, amazing vio, excellent walkman, great mobiles and amazing bravia engine, psp games.i always wonder on those people who buys samsung, think and go to reality.
sony staff, 25 Jan 2012yea, i am sony staff my ID NUMBER J6952487S. and u r rellay good joke babby. sony taken two aw... moreI believe the Amoled screens from Samungs is the biggest joke in human history. It's just over hyped garbags from Samsung.
If you just look at the screen from Sony Arc, it looks 100 times better than any screen in the world with real collors and so on if men compare with cartoony looking Amoled screens.
The Bravia or the X-real engine is te best tech, just look at the Sony's TV just beat every Samsung TV in picture quality.
Only one problem, Sont TV are expensive compare with other brands but you will get best of the rest.
TheNeighbor, 25 Jan 2012For somebody representing a big corporation like Sony, you should be tact and courteous enough... moreDo realy believe that he or she work for Sony?
I think we never find out.
The battery on the most Sony device has the best performance than any other phone on the market, thats a fact.
I think the fixed battery is the best option, for example i never chance the battery and i think it can speak for the rest bunch of people.

TheNeighbor, 25 Jan 2012"Sony Staff", can you answer this person's query about the expandable memory system ... moreNo one care memory slot those days, and it has nothing to do with Apple strategie.
Sony did a good job to pull out memory slot and put in 32 Gig in it. And i lt is cheaper for us.

We are all getting confused weather or not it really sites have a slot for micro SD. Can you help us out? "Yea"?
wow! but no card slot? With 32 GB it's ok but a expendable memory is very important as it provides an extension to your device. And Bluetooth 2.1?Still 2.1?
sony staff, 25 Jan 2012yea, i am sony staff my ID NUMBER J6952487S. and u r rellay good joke babby. sony taken two aw... moreFor somebody representing a big corporation like Sony, you should be tact and courteous enough. I don't think you are the right person to be speaking this way even if you're a legit employee. I've been a consumer of Sony since the 80s and have owned 5 different models of Sonyericsson/Ericsson mobile phones. if you are in the executive level, then let me suggest some positive directions for some improvements:
1. Please do increase the battery stamina. We, avid users of your current and upcoming models have half the longevity of usage per charge.
2. Please do stop trying to emulate Apple's direction of fixed battery. We like to sometimes just change to fresh ones instead of plugging and waiting for hours in one place.
3. We would not appreciate much if you don't provide expandable memory slots. We were happy you have finally eliminated your original exclusive memory cards and embraced the micro SD, but please give us the slots to put in affordable micro SDs for large files.
Anyone else have suggestions? Let's hear them and post it on to "Sony Staff". He/she sounds like he/she can do something in Sony, "Babby". He/she did give us a Sony "employee" number, after all.
