AnonD-39101, 23 Jan 2012Can somebody Tell me if i should buy this phone or wait for a quad core?. is there really muc... moreMost people expect to recieve 4x performance from quad-core compared to single core, but the truth is that there will be no bigger gian than 2x. Dual-core already result 1,5x better performance compared to singl-core, so even theoretical difference isn`t that big. Also in everyday use there will be no real difference, cause most tasks will use one or two cores.
If we go further in details quad-core architecture have some issues, and because software will not be optimised as soon as next year that may lead to worse power efficiency, with no real-life performance gains.
But as I sad most people wants bigger and better and they don`t care that in real life they don`t recieve any gains.
It has got awesome features than the other smart phones...but its body doesnt look good as galaxy or experia arc has...

Sony always delay in realse handset.....someone Samsung or HTC will take market... becuaze they are already ready for 1.8GHz proce...
Have to agree with the former comment, looks great.
The only thing IMO that lets the Sony handsets down is the Timescape UI, saying this its not at all a deal breaker as you can easily change it. If the Samsung S3 or a new HTC could make a handset this good looking I would certainly snap it up.
Failing that im certainly going to get this phone. Such a good looker.
Although the processor doesn't beat the 4S, the density (resolution too) and the multitouch melts my heart!
I hope it's sound engine is better than Arc S~!
Anonymous, 21 Jan 2012Will this Xperia S have Gorila glass? I see a mention about scratch-resistant, but not really ... moreit uses scratch-resistant mineral glass.
It's like the one used on watches.
nowhere near as strong as gorilla glass though.
it's better to use a scratch-resistant film on top of it.
