Shreyas, 18 Oct 2012Hello, I am currently in Bangalore. I purchased XPERIA SL from ebay at 28,500 rs. i will... morethanks alot please give us more feedback =)
For me its better to look up the live performance of this 2 smartphones S3 and SL, my friend got s3 with many applications and it is become Laggy (S3)
while
Sony SL got no Lag even have loads of applications
(Cousin phone)
my choice is SL coz sometimes specs can deceive you, but the Performance are not Based my own exp.
Ohh..forgot to put in a bit more, people are bothered about following, well so was i, so here's the truth :-
1. FM Radio : YES !! IT DOES HAVE A VERY DECENT IN BUILT FM RADIO
2. The three response keys above the strip : yes, this is probably the only area where sony cud hav done better. they r a bit unresponsive sometimes, but as time passes, u will b a PRO at it. u will b able to press them easily.
3.TINT : NO TINT ISSUES AT ALL !! :)
4. CAMERA : yes it takes a couple of xtra seconds to auto focus, but hey !!, the results r worth waiting 2 secs :)
Thanks :)
No battery issues as yet. heats up a bit when playing temple run, but so do all phones.
Hello, I am currently in Bangalore.
I purchased XPERIA SL from ebay at 28,500 rs.
i will start from the beginning.
I was using a Samsung corby pro since past 2 yrs. I was completely naive about android phones. I had wanted to purchase a new cell almost 3 months ago. My price range at that time was 17-18k Rs.
But as i waited on, i kept on increasing my budget and finally settled for max 30k Rs.
then i started diving deep into the phone specs, reviews etc. and trust me, i did quite an extensive research for almost a month on sites like gsmarena , watching youtube videos of reviews etc.
I almost had purchased Xperia S when 1 of my frnds told me about SL. n when i saw it, i immediately fell for it.
What do i want in a Phone ? :-
GOOD LOOKS: Obviously the 1st thing which u notice in a phone. So the competitors were : HTC one S , Apple iphone 4/4s , Samsung S2 , n couple of others.
Trust me. This phone has very very good looks, it stands out in the crowd. thanks to the transparent strip in the bottom.
HTC didnt appeal that much at all to me
2. SPECS
well this is one area where u can argue about. i knew that quad core processors r arriving fast, but ITS REALLY NOT REQUIRED RIGHT NOW , IN INDIA ATLEAST.
im using the cell since 10 days, and its performing very well. all games, apps etc are running very smoothly. 1.7 ghz of dual core is not bad at all.
3. CAMERA : Its clicking very good photos n HD videos.
its almost like carrying a very good digicam in ur pocket.
4. WALKMAN : Ah, my fav part. SOUND IS NICE,CRISP, AND CLEAR. PERSONALLY I LIKE BOOMING BASS in my eardrums, so this cell delivers quite good bass.
5. Touch : the touch as always is pretty good, of course Apple is the king in this dept.
6. DISPLAY : THE BEST !! Sony rocks the segment with its BRAVIA ENGINE. my roomate has the old xperia , and we played the same video simultaneously, keepin d fones side by side, and we were amazed to the clarity of SL's display. Full HD 1080p videos havnt given me a problem as of yet. BRING IT ON APPLE, HTC !! :-X
Its pretty early days for me in the android world and smartphones, as u see moving from java based corby to a Xperia SL is quite some transition !! ;)
Well as time passes , i will get more experience regarding this phone. and keep on posting.
For the time being, those who r willing to buy a cell within 30,000 rs. Xperia SL is a very good option.
Lastly, To put it all very simple , here it is :-
Buy Xperia SL : for camera, and looks and display,, simply no competition
Buy HTC One series for : SPECS !!
Buy APPLE for : TOUCH, APPS, SHOW-OFF the money n apple logo :-P
but SAMSUNG for : A BIT of all the above, nad STUPID LOOKS :D
Thanks, n u r open to ask anything to me if u wanna buy this fone, glad to help :)
