Sony Xperia SP - user opinions and reviews
i miss these days when i used to have such phones like this one, even nowadays my grandma has this phone

It is because of crappy devices like this one, Sony is no longer a player in the mobile market.
At the time this device was priced pretty high, and the YouTube reviewers were comparing it to Galaxy S3. And it was really flashy, it had a character. I really loved that. BUT, it started lagging very quickly and Sony never provided a software update to improve the performance.
So even though the LED on the chin was absolutely awesome, this is still the worst device I've ever owned.

sturdy and very well built phone, such a quality could still be found only in high end premuim phones nowadays. this phone was neglected by sony, promised android 4.4 but never received it. the wifi signal strength was very weak. this phone also suffered from a very slow low quality emmc storage, it was very slow no matter what you did to it.

Xperia SP is my first android phone after blackberry.
truly love this phone. Looked so cool with those notification light at the bottom, stand out apart from the other phone.

This was my second mobile phone after BB Torch. I bought it about Rp. 4.100.000,- (+/- 251$) in 2013. The price worth the performance, and I used it for 8 years.
Sadly Sony didn't sell well here and they choose to leave the Indonesian market. It's hard to find and niche for Android fans who seek for performance and elegance design.

- this is my very first smartphone, bought it on 2013. It was a second hand phone but it was worth it that time. It has Snapdragon chipset. And now, I'm back with a snapdragon chipset, once more with S24 Ultra. It's been a while though.

I have the 3G model which sold in retail stores in Vietnam. With lineageos 17.1 installed it's much more usuable than what I anticipated, although it's so slow. All the essential daily apps work, with most of them are lite versions. Original battery so it's bad, only 2 to 3 hours screentime. You can't expect much from a phone which is 10 years old at the time this comment was written.

Believe that has fstrimm built in, so keeps eMMC storage (sort of ssd) optimized. Otherwise gets laggy indeed. Almost sure this machiene can bennefit from it.
My SP is still going strong and is now running lineage OS 15 it's a great little phone with it's disco lights.

My Sony xperia sp is 840mb ram and 5gb it is function well and my Sony is google upgraded phone. I updated it with google play store and my phone is great but I don't like the version of the phone is old

I bought this Sony Xperia SP in August 2014. It had a hardware (I think screen) issue so it was replaced a few days later. New one was also laggy. The UI looked great but I wouldn't buy another Sony again.
