Please_help, 06 Jun 2014I was going to buy this phone and I read through the cons of this and found out that this phon... moreThink it's aight it has LTE for the price range so I don;t use wifi much. RE: the touch problems it has been fixed by the 4.3 update. the 4.3 update though has a lot of lagging problems. Large part of this is due to the google chrome. Would advice everyone on 4.3 to either disable Chrome (if you wanna use another browser such as firefox) OR Uninstall updates and turn off automatic app updates. that will usually fix the problems.
Please_help, 06 Jun 2014I was going to buy this phone and I read through the cons of this and found out that this phon... morewifi was fixed in 4.3
touch? haven't ever complained, but it isn't much responsive when laid flat on a table in horizontal position.
evrthg else is just splendid.
Finally i am happy with my xsp. After 4.3 upgrade i got a good wifi. Camera is ok for day light photography. RAM is good after disabling xperia and google apps. Display is awesome. Just a boring part is slow response to some apps.
The rear camera is pretty good for casual photography except that in my case the autofocus does not work properly sometimes. As for the front camera, it is to be used only for video chats and its practically useless for selfies. Processor and graphic chip are good but the low RAM (or bad RAM management) has partially wasted the powerful graphic chip (even under normal usage only about 250 MB or 30% of the RAM is available and sometimes heavy games crash due to this).
Please_help, 06 Jun 2014I was going to buy this phone and I read through the cons of this and found out that this phon... moreI would not recommend this phone as so far this 4.3 update has a lot of issues as you mentioned and even the original android 4.1 firmware had a problem with wifi connectivity, the screen used to simply glow sometimes when trying to wake it. Also, xperia sp has still not been confirmed to get 4.4 kitkat yet. Alternatives to this phone include:
1. samsung galaxy grand 2 (large screen, decent RAM space, good camera, getting kitkat this month)
2. htc desire 816 (similar to grand 2 but with even better cameras, faster processor)
3. xperia t2 ultra (massive display, processor similar to grand 2 but RAM is a bit low)
4. motorola moto g (similar to grand 2 but with a smaller display and camera is not that good, but android updates are very timely, also dirt cheap for the specs)
For everyone that was concerned after reading about this phone issues, i can concluded this :
The + points :
1. Illuminated LED notification light
2. A good camera. 8 MP Camera
3. Fast processor. 1.7 dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro
4. Great GPU for heavy gaming. Adreno 320
5. Long lasting battery. 2370 mAh battery
6. Great resolution 720 x 1080
7. 319 ppi
8. Great screen protection. Corning Gorilla Glass
9. Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine
11. Value for money
- points :
1. VGA cam on the front
2. Unremoveable battery
3. Sony's unclear information about the KitKat upadate
Thanks that what i can concluded
Please_help, 06 Jun 2014I was going to buy this phone and I read through the cons of this and found out that this phon... moreNo, i doubt about the poor wifi range and touch issues. I had this phone for about 5 months now and there's no big deal issues i have so far. I have a good wifi range and not a single touch issues. About the poor camera quality, 8 MP on the back it was a fantastic camera with lots of modes you can choose (i recommend the superior auto) with good photo quality. But on the front, yes i just cant argue that this is a little bit drawbacks of this phone. Sony only gave the VGA cam on the front. Its not that good actually, but if youre using the front camera for some Skype or video calling and sometimes some selfies, well its good enough for that. But overall, you'll be happy because its the best mid range phone from user Experience, with that illuminated LED display on the bottom, you'll find the fun yourself.
Can anybody help me, i can't access my micro sd card? I tried File commander, but it only detect the internal memory, but when I bought this phone, I can access, what can I do?
I was going to buy this phone and I read through the cons of this and found out that this phone had terrible wifi range, touch problems for most of the users, poor camera and some update glitches. Are those common for everyone or just for those who made the update? Would you recommend this phone? Please help. :(

Has anyone updated their XSP with .266 firmware update. Any issues with the update
Has anyone updated the firmware to .266 in India. Are there any lags or any other problems and any improvements in performance.
My opinion is that sp should get a update that stabilises the phone to deliver the performance that it was once known for in 4.1 firmware! I don really care it's a 4.3 update or kitkat update!
