From reviews I read that Xperia Z is facing lots of lagging issue after Kitkat update. I don't need kitkat for my XSP. The only thing I need is lag free, superfast XSP with better camera, wifi and RAM management in 4.3. That's it. Thank You!!
Phone was a good purchase until I upgraded to 4.3..I wouldn't suggest anyone to jump from 4.1 until they give us a stable release..
At first i wanna say its a wonderful phone in the budget. Camera ,sound, build quality , screen everything good..only one problem i face its front camera but outside it was good....
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2014k thanks a lot.. to increase my battery lyf,,, wat all can b done.. btw i ll play candy crush ... moreplaying games like candy crush and all will drain battery quickly. this game even drains my laptop battery quickly. So i don't play games in my SP as this invites phone heating issue too. I have controlled my battery consumption by screen by installing lux lite. In other aspects battery consumption is normal as all smart phones consumes battery more. One more thing to be noted, to save your battery you should have strong network signal and use less mobile data.

For those who are going to buy this phone or who are already bought it,
my advice: DO NOT UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM, IT WILL BE VERY SLOW AFTER UPDATED.
otherwise the phone is good and nice at all.
*** i tried everything to overcome this problem but it will never be smooth like with the manufacture installed system.
Anonymous, 05 Jun 2014hey .201 update faster as 4.1? many had d prob of restarting and slowness. No it's definately not faster than 4.1. If only 4.1 version had a good wifi, I'd have never upgraded to 4.3. However, I just have sort of slow response while: opening apps, shutting down, appearing keyboard than in 4.1. Previously it was like lightning fast. I don't like calling interface now. 4.1 was better in that case. But screen contrast and color is brilliant. I sometime think I have got an amoled screen :)I like it.

After update you'll need to reset phone to factory settings, otherwise it will sloooow doooown. But after restoring factory settings it will revert to previous functionality
Someone_Reply, 04 Jun 2014I was thinking of getting an XSP and now on reading the opinions, I'm thinking about Moto G. P... moreDepends on what you want.
Xperia SP has support for external memory, a bit better camera, a bit better battery and a bit larger display.
Moto G has somewhat faster processor (which is not really noticeable).
Specs vote for XSP, but I personally would go for moto G because it is a bit smaller and has great developer support for additional custom roms which make the phone even better.
In the end, it's all up to you, sorry :)
I was thinking of getting an XSP and now on reading the opinions, I'm thinking about Moto G. Please suggest whats best. And will there be any issues when we update the OS?
shean, 04 Jun 2014what best? dual core or quad core. it depends what type of chipset is ticking inside the dual core and quad core, but in general principle quad core is better at multi tasking than dual core as it has more cores to do a specific job and snapdragons are good at battery effeciency, for example Quad-core APQ8064 1.5 GHz Krait inside ZR and Z is better than Dual-core MSM8960T 1.7 GHz Krait inside SP, although in benchmark score it may seem that SP can win in some aspects but remember it's just scores in paper and in real life you can really feel that ZR and Z is way way better.
