3 cheers for X SP, after 8 mths of Launch its at 5 position with User Rating of 8.273. Be proud to have this phone.
I wonder why people complain about issues regarding transfer of file from internal memory to SD card. Guys, try to explore the application in your phone named "FILE COMMANDER". In that app, you can easily copy/paste files from phone memory to SD card or removable devices and vice versa.
I have been using the app to transfer large files like movies and music files.

How is the wifi range on the SP. I heard that different models have the fault and that even different colour versions have the fault. Apparently according to another user his black c5303 doesn't have any range problems whereas a white one might.

Vineeth Mohan, 21 Nov 2013Sony Xperia SP is not in the list published by Sony to receive Android Kit Kat (4.4). This dev... moreSorry but your comment is wrong,,,Xperia sp will get 4.4,,to all Xperia sp users,Sony added Xperia sp for getting 4.4,,,go to sonymobile.com,,,this is write there((Xperia sp,released version:4.1,,,next version:4.3,,,future version:4.4)))just like xperia z and zl,,,,,and for xperia t to get 4.4 sony said ''under investigation''
How is your wifi range, for some reason when I try to connect to wifi I cannot get a signal unless I am standing next to the router and I have to turn it off and on again for it too work
Sony Xperia SP is not in the list published by Sony to receive Android Kit Kat (4.4). This device will be updated to Android 4.3 next month. Not being a flagship product and considering its medium category hardware, further software upgrade is unlikely for Xperia SP.
I cannot decide between Xperia SP and Lumia 920. The majors cons of SP which are deterring me from the device are :
1. The camera : Picture quality is way below Sony standard with bad low light pics and noisy pics. Low light pics are getting huge negative reviews. The screen is also not doing justice to the phone with being washed out display and bad viewing angles.
2. video quality does not measure up either.
3. Seriously bad wi-if range. My wi-fi range would be about 10 to 15 feet with a wall in between at times.
4. Less ppi compared to 920.
Plus when I am paying Rs 23k I don't plan to change the handset in at least 2 years if not 3 years. So I need to be at calm that my software will receive regular updates. What are the chances of XSP getting Android 5 after Kit-Kat. And I have to keep the resale value in mind when I get my next phone. My current Blackberry has got very miserly quotes. Nokia enjoys certain respect while coming to resale. What are your opinions on that ?
There are things going for XSP too. Most important of which to me is the ADRENO 320 GPU. The battery is also marginally better in XSP and has a TV out too (does that mean with a HDMI cable attached to the TV I can play watch the games in the big screen ?).
This phone is fantastic! Although it isn't a flagship, it sure has a premium design and build quality. Everything runs smoothly, and the battery has a very good performance.
I got nothing to complaint about it, I really love this phone, and comparing to other phones on the same range, it beats the competition easily. And on top of it, the price is nice! (at least here in Brazil).
Truly recommend the Xperia SP for everyone!
