And about CyanogenMod ROMs i agree its nightlies but are very stable cause I use em bro :)
And about your kitkat update thing is that! October is the end of update time for sp! And if sony does release kitkat fr now and if thy have bugs then the fix for t would tke sme mre tym and I guess thy don't have so mch tym as the update period ends ! But still if the phone does get the update I Just Hope that its stable and no ppl are hell disappointed that they sell off their sp phone ! :)
Is better to buy Sony Xperi SP because it is android and hav a lot of apps not like Blackberry Z10 support just JAVA Apps. The Spect or Blackberry Z10 are better but i dont suggest to you.

people who have flashed their xsp with .207 firmware are so happy and reviewing the set positively with better RAM, battery backup and speed. If it's that good then why SONY is so mean to release it all over the world?? I don't want kitkat. I want stable and fast jellybean which is .207 as per the reviews.I can't download ftf file to flash my rom like i download firmware in installment basis in pcc. feeling very sad and helpless. :(
p.mandal..., 15 Aug 2014I was thinking the same too. But i wanna know does anyone did it before. I checked the new gla... moreI didn't do it either. But I saw that in sp forums of Facebook. They say that rubbing cam lense by toothpaste gives very good result. Now u have the situation and u can try it.
BTW when my lense gone scratched I ordered a lense from witrings.Com and replaced it by myself. That lense has good quality 3 months after replacement no single scratch yet. Watch YouTube video for sp camera lense replacement.

mag c, 14 Aug 2014Try toothpaste method... I dont get u. Pls explain.
SpYkillEr, 14 Aug 2014Well totally agreed and also wit the Xperia Guy!
Without Kitkat you guys should not have a p... moreNot everyone is comfortable with trying to root or letting someone else try to root the phone, which is necessary to install a cyanogenmod rom. Also, the cyanogenmod roms available are nightlies and are not stable. And yeah, I don't fully expect it but I still think that our xperia sp will get kitkat. After all, sp's predecessor, xperia p, was also launched with gingerbread (at a time when google had already released ICS) and given 2 major updates to 4.0 ICS and then 4.1 jelly bean. Similarly, sp was launched with 4.1 when 4.2 was already released by google. We have got only one update, and sony is almost done with updating their 2014 devices (only the xperia m2 is left), so xperia sp being an older device will get the update after m2. The update support period ends in october, and im sure by then or latest by november the phone will get the update as sony has apparently already started working on it.
Check out this piece of news:
And one more thing!
You'll arent happy with the jelly bean update!
And kitkat update reviews of sony phones haven't been great!
So why are you'll asking for a dirty update n thn you'll will b asking for a bug fix! So relax and take what you ll ve instead of a still worse one!
[deleted post]Well totally agreed and also wit the Xperia Guy!
Without Kitkat you guys should not have a problem! And those who are eagerly waiting for kitkat can try CyanogenMod nightlies ! Its pretty awesome n runs very smoothly ! Try t out and tz kitkat 4.4.4! Stock updates fro sony weren't gud enough for m! ;)
