tvgowthaman, 08 Jul 2014Yes I am exp three times after updating .205 I experienced the same atleast twice in a day....Every update of sony has one or the other problem...
Hi! I have a very big problem with my camera since the purchase of my Sony xperia sp. I have updated it to android 4.3 and. 205 firmware. The camera is just horrible. Its focus doesnt work well, it oversaturates colors, even the video rec is not efficient at all. I cannot do macro shots because it blurs the image after i click the shutter. Even, the myphone rio in the philippines with less than half the price of the xperia sp has a better output. It's so frustrating. I should have bought the nokia lumia 720. This phone is crap.

(according to battery info on AVG anti virus app.)

I only tested on night/ Tube light and No blur in images and there are noise when zoom. I need to check it on daylight.
Google just Not provide this for previous android versions; its just their restriction. Dont know why. Google just add some features for Andtoid ICS 4.0 and name them Jelly Bean, KitKat etc. I think there was/is NO much big changes in OS till now.

Can you please download it on Mobile Chrome. Link is working. Yes, you can just download and install it in your SP, it wont replace your existing stock camera
dee, 07 Jul 2014So i should empty my battery first until i charge it again? I'll try it then. Thanks :)No, dont discharge the battery every day, but one or twice a month. For everyday use you can put back to charging when it reaches 20%.
Prasanth K, 07 Jul 2014You can download Google Camera from http://d-h.st/qZQ as its available only for Kitkat 4.4 on ... moreI have downloaded google camera from the link you provided but found no difference in the picture quality. Delivered picture is of same quality as stock camera. Noise is still present. And in addition the camera gets stopped everytime if i wish to press setting button. There is no option for choosing resolutions.
I think SP's camera defect is not a software issue but infact it's a hardward problem. Exmor RS sensor is a flop for SP.

dee, 07 Jul 2014Thanks :) how about overheat? sometimes my phone heat really bad. is it ok to still use it? or... morewhat is your current firmware version? after the .205 update i don't notice any heating issues anymore, but batteries don't like heat, and it can damage your battery, so it is advisable to let your phone cooldown for a minute before continuing on what your doing, although xperia SP and all android has a heat control feature on it's processor to help avoid overheating.

Avoid fully discharging a lithium-ion battery! Unlike Ni-Cd batteries, lithium-ion batteries' life is shortened every time you fully discharge them. Instead, charge them when the battery meter shows one bar left. Lithium-ion batteries, like most rechargeable batteries, have a set number of charges in them.
Do not follow the method of full charge and full discharge. Avoid letting your cell phone's battery run all the way down. Unlike nickel-based batteries (such as the NiCd or NiMH rechargeable AA batteries seen in most supermarkets), lithium-based batteries are designed to be charged early and often, and letting them get too low can damage the battery. With Lithium batteries, doing shallow discharges and frequent charging prolongs battery life.
dee, 07 Jul 2014So i should empty my battery first until i charge it again? I'll try it then. Thanks :)dude no, you should not drain your battery, if you drain your battery then your phone will need to do a deep charge, It's better to charge your phone every day than to do a "deep charge" from time to time. Lithium-ion batteries, like the kind used in most phones fare better when they're charged. If you constantly let them drain to 0%, they become unstable. Your battery has a finite number of charge cycles, and every time it fully dies, that's another cycle out the window.
