a wasted opportunity by sony . this is the best android I have ever seen . 95g only . they say Japanese keep the best for themselves !
Hi, I wanna buy a new cellphone, but I can't decide between the SX SO-05D and the Sony Xperia P. Which is better?
which one do you suggest i.e., which one would you buy?
Also, does the battery (for both of them) really drain as fast as everybody is saying or these people just leave a lot of Apps running and forget about them?
Does it last at least a day?
I mean, if I charge it at night, can I use it the whole next day (average using*) and then charge again in the night? Or the battery is gonna die in the afternoon?
*by average using I mean a couple of short phone calls, some messages, a few pictures, a couple of short videos, a little snapchatting and what's up messaging, maybe a little gaming...
thank you very much
if sony has the technology to create a super light smartphone , what are they waiting for ? look at the specs 95 g and width of only 54 mm .
this is how a phone should be not 70 or 80 mm in width .
please re create something like this again and launch it worldwide and just japan

What country are you using the phone in? Where did you get the phone from (did you buy online)? Also what OS are you running - did you upgrade it to jelly bean or is it still ICS?
I have been using this phone for the last 6 months. It's ultra light, beautiful, and fast. Only problem -- the battery life is absolutely appalling. With heavy app use, battery life on this phone can be as low as 2 hours after a full charge. Abysmal.
I would love it if companies could release more small/ light phone models which are also highly specced.
More competition in this category would probably result in better performing devices for consumers.
Right now the lighter weight phones are relegated to the budget end of the market, which is a shame.
i have a problem with this phone. the ECO Mode is not working and on the Play Store it says not available on your carrier. the battery life is not very good what to do?
Has anyone out there owned and used the SX SO-05D on a 3G900 (UMTS BAND 8)?? Is the phone capable of picking up 3G900? Specifications for Docomo can be quite confusing. I have already used an unlocked Docomo phone on the 3G900 band even though all online specifications said nothing of the sort.
Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Please only reply if you have on hand experience.
aspect ratio is very close to iphone5. I can see it being a legal issue... It's the only phone meeting my spec requirements, so let's hope it comes...
Sony i love you for this..
Bring it to India quick...and i dont mind if its priced similar to Xperia L, ima gonna get this baby. 90gms weight, 8mpx camera, Adreno 225, win win..
Most powerful compact camera in the world.
Great phone. But is camera is really really bad. The field of view is also really narrow. So you have to stand really far back to get everything in the photo. Video has the same problem, and also an extremely slow auto-focus.. the camera is always hunting for the correct focus and rarely gets it right. Other than the camera/video. Its a super company small and light phone with fast browsing, fast apps, etc.
F**king sony release it in worldwide or make and introduce small size phones like this.
This phone is AWESOME. I purchased one from ebay (guy from japan, he fully unlocks the phone by going to the provider and doing hardware lock and then sets the language to english before shipping to you) and this is EXACTLY what I wanted, I been using my iPhone 3GS for over 3 years now and it was pretty beat up so I decided to look for a new phone. ALL THE PHONES are huge nowadays so I kept looking for a week until I found the SX SO-05D Xperia, second phone I ever owned and very happy with my purchase.

The idiots for not releasing in EU we have a niche that needs to be filled and they have a phone to fill it. I have put off buying a smartphone for 2 years because everyone i try is simply too big. I am holding out until this or something similer is released i.e screen size 3.7 or below You found anything else yet?
