One question. I´m in latinamerica. If I buy this phone in Japan, can I use it here?
I completely agree with Techno. I have a Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray which is a beautiful little handset. Much better, quality-wise, then the rest of the current Xperia range in the UK. I wanted to upgrade this to a Qhd display and dual core as it struggles with .mkv files. Then I came across this little beauty (doing a GSM Arena search) and it ticks all the boxes. But it won't come out in Europe! Instead we get the Xperia Z which I was not impressed by (the display is quite poor). Where are all the high-specced small phones for those of us that don't want to carry a brick around???? Oh, and Sony et. al. a lot of us *want* to be able to swap the battery out and add memory cards. I avoid phones where you *can't* do this.
If the marketing or executive people in sony would understand that this is supposed to be their flagship phone and not the experia z, they can actually throw samsung and apple away...
This phone is so amazing! It is small. It is light. It is beautiful. It supports LTE. Its battery is replaceable. It has external microSD card. And, of most importance, it is Android! Why Sony can't release this phone in China? If only they could replace FeliCa with NFC and OneSeg with CMMB, there would be a lot of users like me that will buy it! I can't find a phone with better screen or hardware specs in such size and at such price. I want this phone so badly!

They are looking to promote their giant phone Xperia Z. They don't realise that most of us want a handy light smartphone with best specifications like this one. Most of their other phones can't be chosen because the battery is non removable. Sony ought to do a research on what their customers really need...

I am totally satisfied with the specifications such as camera, os, display. I like the phone.
I have now had this phone for a couple of months, and is 100% satisfied. I do not like big heavy phones, but want to be able to do the same thing. With just under 100 grams and size 115 x 54 x 9.4 mm, it is the phone that comes closest to the 1-5-10-100-500 (D-W-H-Weight-Standby hours)specifications that we were use to expect from phones back in the 90's, OK it only has half the standby time, but i talk several hours each day, and has only once in three months ran out of juice.
Sony should release this beauty worldwide. Or atleast make the next NXT generation with this beautiful design.
Blackberry copied Xperia SX design. HTC also copied Xperia SX with their upcoming HTC One M7. Sony should sue them and make some money.
All the giant phones, with crappy non removable battery, for the world. And at last when they made a good phone, it is for Japan. What a nonsense!
Please release it on worldwide,..i love this phone! And so desperate i can't have it in my country,..
