Even in China, the Xperia T2 Ultra is expected to come out with a price of 3,500 yuan ($580!). And they are calling this a mid-ranger?

AnonD-145045, 19 Jan 2014Do not compare a nexus device with any other phone out there, it will just create a whole lot ... moreNot to mention, Nexus devices are cheaper because the prices are subsidized by Google. But there are places where the Nexus devices are not subsidized which make the prices similar to those of high-end devices with similar specs.
AnonD-135906, 19 Jan 2014U forgot that Google nexus 5 is selling at 30k in India
it has 1080x1920 with snapdragon 800 ... moreDo not compare a nexus device with any other phone out there, it will just create a whole lot of confusion!
They have flagship specs and yet sell at the price of a higher-midrange device. But its performance is usually even less than other higher-midrange phones, forget flagships, for example xperia sp(1.7ghz dualcore, 1gb ram) is way better in performance than the nexus4(1.7ghz quadcore, 2gb ram).... and if the resolution is lower, the diagonal is way bigger.
And all this combined with the high-energy efficient processor with 3000mah, will provide a mind blowing battery life! and even with the lower resolution, t2ultra screen is better thanks to trilumions ips-lcd display!
If sony's gonna launch this in india for around 28-30k(~$500) , its gonna fail coz the processor(Snapdragon 400) and the GPU(Adreno 305)and the 720p screen just aint good enough .. LG G Pro with Snapdragon 600 and Adreno 320 and 1080p Screen is available for the same price ... the proper price for this phablet is under 24k if sony wants to get any decent sales ...

I don't know but this thing has the same specs of GS3 but with a higher resolution camera and bigger battery yet using a low-energy cores. And yet people say this thing is a mid ranger.
Anonymous, 18 Jan 2014I dont think so, wait and see, it will launch at below $500. A bit more in the most expensive ... moreYes, it will probably be a lot cheaper in Asian regions but it will still debut with a price of €399 which is roughly $550, which I think is a bit much.
AnonD-216263, 18 Jan 2014The debut price is around $550, but is expected to come down to around $400.I dont think so, wait and see, it will launch at below $500. A bit more in the most expensive countries of course, but India and ME and SE Asia can expect below $500.
