Cant wait to have this in my pocket all day long...👍

When I first read the specs, I thought "Hmmm, Grand 2 and Lumia 1320 competition." Then I found at some sites the expected price. I think $550 is almost flagship territory.
Sony is made for design and quality...and present to premium and classy customer. unlike others....
I've re-read the specs list of this phablet, looking at the PPI levels (still of a good spec)and the fairly big battery, this phone should work nicely without draining too quickly either battery or rams. In the looks department it certainly looks the part of a thoughtful design as now usual by Sony. To be fair, this model has everything going for it for a mid-ranger, but as i mentioned earlier, I see the price tag as the main factor that will make this phone either a resounding success or not. Let's wait and see what Sony will do.
goodthings, 15 Jan 2014I'm guessing around $500... for the first wave. But it will go down fast, given the context.Yes, the expected price is said to be below $550. That is quite expensive for just 720p, cortex a7, and just 1gb ram.
AnonD-26033, 15 Jan 2014come on sony.. put some gorilla glass on your phones... its GLONASS phone .. lol
shailendra, 15 Jan 2014can anyone tell me the expected price of this smartphone........I'm guessing around $500... for the first wave. But it will go down fast, given the context.
Good to see Sony is switching to IPS LCD.
Want to see a solid performance from Sony in 2014.
This is precisely the form factor I was expecting. I played with an Xperia Z Ultra and it felt a bit too big (albeit very very slim!), partly due to its large bezels. This one has solved the issue (we still need a place to rest our thumb on!). So the physical specs are perfect, 6 inches and everything else!
Now waiting (like many others, I believe) for an Xperia Z2 Ultra - same form factor, 1080 p, 2 or 3 GB RAM (two is enough for now: I'm a power user, except for games - this includes cloud syncing, editing, image editing etc. and I have NEVER managed to kill my Xperia Z. Nor have I reached values above 1,5 GB RAM.) Better CPU would be lovely, triluminous display and a humongous battery, and I'll buy it tomorrow.
mahan a, 14 Jan 2014witch one is better? galaxy mega 6.3 or xperia t2 ultrasony t2 ultra is the bestphone....
For a phone categorized as midrange you guys should understand, this isn't a flagship like the Z1 and honestly, the screen looks stunning on videos and better than the Z and the Z1. Sony keep up the good work! Just make sure though that the Sirius/Z2 will have the Snapdragon 805 and the latest version of Android! You are much better compared to Samsung especially in the design department!

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2014i cant understand wht sony is underated, my brothers 1.5 year old sony ICS 1ghz 512mb still ru... moreSonyt cant afford wide marketing, thats why they decided to not try and strengthen their position in USA, it costs too much. Still, thats not the reason why Xperias havent sold that well despite of being excellent phones, the real reason is that Sony/SonyEricsson was very late in jumping on the specs train, X10 had to face Galaxcy S, Arc S had to compete with dual cores, that didnt go well and when your flagship cant compete well then the rest of the lineup will suffer also, and it did. Later they made the mistake of omitting the card slot in S, P and U, and after that 1GB dualcore T and TX had to compete with 2GB quadcores, didnt go well at all. Things didnt get right before the Xperia Z, which came out less than a year ago.
Its looking good now, the Z set things straight, besides Samsung and Apple Sony Mobile is the only tier 1 manufacturer to make a profit, and they did that despite writeoffs on the buyout of Ericsson, i say thats well done, pay their debt and still post profits (small though).
When you look at how much LG and HTC are losing then things are looking very bright for Sony Mobile.
