and all of its codecs, come people will tell you that you only need one or another codec but you can install them all, and you will be able to play any type of video file, also you should always use a class 10 sd card for better loading times
An absolutely brilliant tablet. Great for everyday task, including the occasional use as an umbrella.
The Xperia Tablet Z had little problem playing 1080p videos in MP4 and MKV format. DivX and XviD videos in HD however, seemed to present a problem as we only managed to get SD videos with these codecs going

filip, 24 Apr 2013dude, a cd reader would take too much space xDUm, the tablet's screen is 10.1". Measure the cd. It may be smaller lol. Cos it's the best of Sony in a tablet, blu ray discs might be read well, too. =) the normal will be released in may, there could be a ZXtra in August if its rumoured. =)

Play PS 1,2,3 and upcoming ps4 games by disc (U can put the disc in the tablet)
Watch movies or play CDs by disc (U can put the disc in the tablet)
Extra water resistance (Unlimited depth, unlimited time)
Playstation controller ports
There could be a BUZZ junior Cradle for playing buzz junior, but there needs to be room for the Playstation controller ports.
Personally, I really liked this Tablet! I live in the UK and I travel alot for my business, so having a Tablet that has near PC functionality with fast WiFi speeds that I can easily carry with me is absolutely essential to me. I have to say though, I found the SONY XPERIA Z Tablet that they have here in the UK absolutely PERFECT for this! In fact, my only initial gripe is that with tablets in general, you have to be much more careful about protecting the screen. But thankfully I managed to get around this pretty well by finding a decent case for it that has a strong lightweight lid, which totally solved the problem! Was pretty darn cheap too (I think it cost me less than 10 bucks on Amazon). One thing I really love about this case even more is that the one I found came built in with a magnetic sleep sensor, which automatically turns the tablet on and off INSTANTLY (no seconds to wait like on my old Laptop). Only one model I have found so far that does this feature though, which I think they called it something daft like the "G-Hub" case (stands for gadget hub, apparently!) but all joking aside, it truly was BRILLIANT! If anyone was curious, here's the link to it... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CFUYEGE/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=computers Totally made my Tablet the best darned portable computer I have ever owned!
This device is due towards the end of May yet but for those impatient ones, you can get one already on ebay as this is already available in Japan but is costlier (about a $100 more than the SRP).
