Its so powerful, ... morei agree with you it has wonderful specs on its range,but if you have used it for a long time,you will feel mini have a lot of bugs in ics,ics on mini is not as stable as on tipo,i think clicking twice on a application isnt a serious problem and doesnt influence any real performance on tipo
@other anonymous if sony update kernel of lww,they will kill tipo market dude,and sony still investigate their 2011 line,sony didnt promised it dude,so tipo still have advantage about jellybean update even sony can update kernel of their 2011 line,try to think it by yourself if u be a market seller of sony

Android does not give you any user control over running apps, you dont decide what to keep open, android does it for you. Compared to a Nokia N900 that is not much of a multitasking at all, Android i pretty pathetic this way.
Tipo has A5 CPU, its already v7, theres no old ARM11 (v6) stuff here, check the benchmarks in the review, it does very well in everything except BenchmarkPi.

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2012Agree, but Tipo has bad cam also, quite bad, really. Gio not only has an exceptionally slow... morethough better than gio in camera! and armv6 og gio is useless! as soonly even adreno 200 and below 1GHz and single core will be useless ( about a year maybe or less)

HTC explorer better in terms of touch sense and viewing angle ... sound output in loud and clear speaker call quality is very nice , browsing is very nice lag free even in 2G , build quality HTC ... Android 2.3 with HTC sense 3.5 = Android.4.0 , I compared 40min in store demo phones and finally brought HTC EXPLORE ....
I waited Sony tipo but disappointed ..
it was hanging when try to open some app ..

Anonymous, 23 Sep 2012no man! galaxy gio is on par with armv6 bad camera low ram !!!Agree, but Tipo has bad cam also, quite bad, really.
Gio not only has an exceptionally slow CPU, and about half ram of Tipo, thats bad enough already but in addition the Gio's storage is only around 160MB. And lets not forget that its upgradeable only to 2.3. In other words, Galaxy Gio is useless in more than one way.

Its a well known fact that there are very different requirements in... moreyeah i might have exaggerated a bit here , its not that low . and no we also don't look for a head banging noise , but in india traffic , buses and trains are very noisy , but still the loudness is below average . check gsmarena audio quality test , its not good in quality also. and consider the volume in fm radio as well it will be lower than music player. and dont forget this is a product from sony , if some one buys a sony phone they expect it to perform awesome in music . tipo does a great job in loudspeaker but it fails terribly in headset

Warning warning. supplement to my last post. If you like Xperia Mini, be very aware of the existence of Xperia X10 Mini, its a very different phone and its not good at all. Xperia Mini is the one to get, learn the difference.

Its so powerful, plays and records 720p HD video, the display is beautiful 16M color high quality, cam is beautiful with a well timed flash, it has ICS, its processor is so fast, the graphics even faster, never need to press twice on the screen (unlike Tipo), and so on and on. The only things may be the 320MB internal storage (but theres 2 2GB card included) and battery life, 1200mAh is not enough for Mini but its not bad also, my mother in law charge only every 3 days (light user but she use it)
Xperia Mini is the best value for money no doubt. Too bad i could not find one, then i would not be stuck woth Tipo now. BUt the Tipo is acceptable after all.

Why do they still use fixed focus cameras on new devices. I truly think that the price difference is under 30$.... and for that 30$ less you get crap photos :)

Its a well known fact that there are very different requirements in India than most other countries, especially western countries. There are no open noisy buses and noone is bringing a noisy goat in teh bus (or anywhere else), in fact buses are so quiet that even with Tipo you dont need full volume. Not a problem ppl, dont worry too much about the volume.
I doubt a cellfone made to Indian volume requirements would be legal to sell in the European Union, it would be much louder than the maximum allowed. Even toys making loud noises are illegal, my relatives were questioning toys i brought from philippines, they could not believe so noisy toys were allowed anywhere in the world, and they did not want their kids to use those toys. And it is a fact that people from noisy countries more often are hearing impaired coz of the noise exposure that starts already at birth.

AnonD-70902, 23 Sep 2012Hi All, can you pls suggest me which one is good htc explorer or tipo, as far i know tipo has ... moredont even think about tipo if you want to listen to music in headset , its even below average , i can gurantee you won't hear a thing in bus , because i have heard the volume in headset it is very low. i would suggest you to wait for samsung , lets see what they have in store for us , wait till september end, galaxy note 2 will launch on sept 27 , so they might launch their budget ics then. if not you can go for htc explorer. i will do the same
