Xperia tipo ofcourse has a dual sim standby... Works both sim at a time. but causes some problem when u put both 2G sim on it and browse internet with one...

AMAZING... Super Amazing phone... Very good resolution too.. And 512mb ram is more than enough. Didn't use double sim yet so I don't know much about that.. Best phone in this price range.. Very smooth.

battery life is excellent! if your battery life is short, something is wrong. that is one of the things i like best about this phone. there are many others.

Don't purchase Sony tipo dual,it is very bad handset,becoz battary back up is very low hardly per day charging by 3times,believes mi.I bought my mobile last 4month,but problem becomes & service centre gaon by. hardly 15 times.so very pure & bad responses fir Xperia Sony tipo dual,so guys don't purchase.

gsm sim cards, but only one is
active at a time hence the
term "standby".
There are also dual sim active
phones which allow both sims to be on at the same time. I
don't see any advantage to
this though. Dual sim phones use up more
battery power then single sim
phones and are also generally
more expensive and rare
(except for all those cheap
generic Chinese Shanzhai models, or knockoffs.). This is a good way to save
money if one carrier offers a
very good rate on say talk/
messaging while another has a
better mobile web/data plan.
It can also be used if you have two lines, one for business,
the other personal. Or even
for frequent travellers who
use one sim from their home
country and another in the
country they are visiting.

The difference between a dual
ACTIVE sim and a dual
STANDBY sim cellphone is in
the ease in switching sim
cards. In the dual ACTIVE sim
cellphone, the user can easily change from sim1 to sim2 in
one press of a switch. User
can return to sim1 again by
just pressing the switch sim
key again. But in the dual
STANDBY sim cellphone, the user has to do the following:
1. User presses switch key to
change from sim1 to sim2; 2.
User has to specify that the
new default sim is sim2; 3.
Cellphone will show message that the change in default sim
will restart the phone, and
asks for a confirmation from
the user; 4. Once the user
confirms, cellphone restarts,
and user waits for the cellphone to become ON again;
5. Once the cellphone is ON,
user can use the cellphone
using sim2. In case the user
wants to change back from
sim2 to sim1 again, the user has to go through the above-
mentioned steps once more.
Thus, a dual ACTIVE sim
cellphone is more convenient
to use.
