sony xperia u, Sony Xperia sola or xperia ray??? what do you think, guys?
DTEG, 08 Dec 2012The specs appear to be wrong - you'll find some sites say 1.62 (which would be illegal, doh!) ... moreI think your talking about the US ratings or Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Which states that " The SAR limit set by the FCC/IC is 1.6W/kg averaged over 1 gram of actual tissue.
The SAR limit recommended by the Council of the European Union is 2.0W/kg averaged over 10 g of actual tissue." There is a difference in the measurements, but anyways if its over 1.0 its dangerous for the tissue.
bumbzy, 08 Dec 2012can we update its os..?? i need to know about it..pls help me guys.. i want to but this phoneYes. Minor updates can be applied over the air by wi-fi or possibly 3G. Major updates (i.e. full new Android versions such as ICS) are applied via PC Companion or Sony Update Service for Windows users. Equivalents are available for Mac. Unfortunately there is not currently any Linux support AFAIK.

I have the FCC report here, and it states the SAR is 1.09W/kg. It cannot be measured by an app, because phones do not contain a suitable sensor. It's why they test it in expensive labs.
can we update its os..??

Hi all, I am thinking to buy this phone. Indeed i am new to smartphones. I am using SE Naite. The question I wanted to ask is .. If I install more application and games, and if it's size(overall) exceeds 2GB where it will be stored? In whitepaper of SXU, it is mentioned that 2GB for apps and 4GB for media.
[deleted post]It has a small screen. If u r nt a heavy user Better buy miro.

But the FCC have done it already and it measures 1.09W/kg, so nothing to worry about. If you live in Europe, they measure it differently, and it's 1.22W/kg (the legal limit is accordingly higher too) so still nothing to worry about.

danny, 08 Dec 2012Guys I updated my phone to ics one month ago very sad with ics update... and I see many people... moreIf you want better performance you have to reset your phone. You can back up your current photos or other stuff using Sony companion. Truly speaking you wont even think of downgrade after you reset your phone :)
