Xperia U is now the same price and can be found cheaper than lww now which suggests that retailers know about the faults with many xperia u - im not saying all. Xperia Sola although more expensive would be a more satisfying purchase!
asadcaptain, 28 Nov 2012Have more advantage in ICS than GB. Is it smooth & suitable for X U? Truthful answer: I'd probably not have bothered. The advantages and disadvantages about balance. For further advice you will need to seek a full review.
sss, 27 Nov 2012@Niyo- upgrade it to the android OS v.4.0 ..it will work well :)More smooth, battary backup is grater than GB?
Mdsr, 27 Nov 2012Bro ICS is available in Pakistan. I updated my Xperia U to ICS almost a month ago. You will ne... moreOh ok, thanx dude.. I'll update my pc companion. It asks me every time. But I didn't update it.
asadcaptain, 28 Nov 2012After upgrade ICS it would be slow? if slow is it possible return GB?ICS's memory demands are a bit higher, so since that means apps need to swap in and out more, they don't sleep quite so soundly when inactive, which does make it a bit less responsive in practice (and can also have a modest extra hit on battery since more work has to be done). I have noticed one or two outright bugs, which may or may not be connected with memory management.
There is no official way to downgrade, other than paying a Sony service centre. I have heard reference to downgrades via rooting, *if* you have access to the original GB ROM image (I don't) but that would certainly invalidate warranty, and I am not sure how easy it is in practice.
After upgrade ICS it would be slow? if slow is it possible return GB?

hari, 28 Nov 2012hey does it really hav light sensor !?! not working for many! im also facing d same problem!Yes, it does have a sensor, but its effects are not very clear even if the option is turned on in Display Brightness settings. However it certainly should work.
To test the sensor, dial *#*#7378423#*#*, run Service Tests, Ambient Light Sensor. The value displayed should vary between 0 in low light, perhaps up to 50 in bright daylight, and into the hundreds or even as much as 1000 next to a light bulb say.
mido, 28 Nov 2012May be a manufacturing defect, why dont u take it back to the vendor ?I checked d touch screen test in service test option. Der s no gaps while dragging d lines. Is tat my hardware s Gud. I think der s some soft ware problem. Wt u say dude.
charliewhiskey, 26 Nov 2012You say about camera clarity I actually though it was extremely poor tbh, my old Sony Ericsson... moreI dont know what is the complaint about the U's camera. In the phone arena review the same complaint was written.firstly remove all covers from the phone including camera lens.My brother using that phone from one month. There is no problems at all. the only important thing i tell that dont buy phones in low price.they give only fake products.plz buy it from Sony authorised websites.
Only worry is the battery backup.
Will the upgrade to ICS solve battery
