and in case of you don't know , The purple circle of Xperia U camera is a common problem and you can see it at youtube.
And I know Updating might be the solution because I read about it many times As I wanted to be Absolutely sure before I buy this phone to my sister in case of bad luck to actually face this problem
So , Unless you have an actual solution for it , dont try to object to every man trying to help here
It"s just updating ....... I didn't say (through your phone from the window)

Sean, 19 Nov 2012No it doesn't the Ace 2 is slick and smooth. I need to know the performance of ace 2 plz! I already know Xu performance but lack of micro sd and narrow screen along with small battery rule it out! How good is ace 2? Does the extra ram make it perform well? How well does the ace 2 cope with large hd games plz?

Confusion is not helped by Sony reps not having a clue.
Asif ,
many people have faced this problem before (the purple circle) . Actually I didn't face it myself , but I had to read about the problems before I bought this phone to my sister , And it seems that updating is the only solution many have talked about for this problem.
just update to the next version by PC companion , and according to your numbers It seems you have 2.3 GingerBread and the update available for you is just another version of 2.3 not 4.0 ICS , so nothing major will happen after updating ,
I did it myself to my sister"s phone the first week
And don't worry , Its just updating , nothing will harm your phone even you disconnect it during the process
And even if you update to 4.0 ICS , It is actually not bad at all and has a lot of new cool features
I hope it will solve the problem
In my xperia U Battey usage info, Android OS is showing on 2nd no just after Display, means android OS is eating battery more than normal.

Not sure about the camera problem - how large is this circle? Does it seem particularly associated with when the flash is activated? Hopefully someone can help. When all is working well the camera gives excellent results.

Same blie spot ... moreIf you don't want to update to 6.0.B.3.184 you can just ignore the notification icon, or if you clear data for the update app it disappears for a while at least. Once ICS is rolled out to your phone's SI number, the update icon should disappear anyway (regardless of whether you update), since that major upgrade can only be completed via PC Companion or SUS, not directly on your phone.
I doubt an update will fix the camera. What kind of blue spot do you mean, please do describe. Sounds either some kind of optical issue, or a hot pixel.

Is the new ... more6.1.1.B.1.10 is a version of Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.4), 6.0.B.3.184 is a version of Gingerbread (Android 2.3.7). I've been using ICS for a few days, and it's better in some ways, worse in others. If Gingerbread is being stable for you (that particular version is a little notorious) then it's probably not worthwhile upgrading.
