Guys, name some compelling reasons why Xperia V is preferable to Acro S?
Will, for example, the difference in front cams be very noticable? Xperia V has a downgraded front cam compared to the 720p on the Acro S.
Apart from that the screen is the same, as far as I can tall? So is the size (a matter of 1-2 mm difference). Yes, the Xperia V has 4G, Acro S does not. And Xperia V has a removable battery. Acro S has an hdmi port and 16 gb storage, Xperia V - no hdmi and just 8 gb.
Gimme some thoughts on this:)
Hey Guys! I just found out that Sony is going to launch this beauty in Hong Kong on Monday, 3.12.2012! I think the price should be the same or lower than Xperia Acro S when it first came out. Let's wait and see.
komplett.no (in Norway) lists Xperia V as CONFIRMED for tomorrow, December 1. Black only, white is unconfirmed.
Status of Xperia V on the German version of sonymobile.com changed from "coming soon" to "new". No price information available.
it's the time to change my xperia S and i want to get the TX OR V but i think they dont deserve mor than 450 $ , i'll wait for them alittle more if they not released htc brings out some great phones too
golemred, 27 Nov 2012mid range ??? 13 MP, 342 ppi, dual krait, Bravia Engine 2...... this is for you mid range??? obviously its midrange for 2013 dude.
HTC and LG already started the NEW GENERATION with Quadcore Kraits and Quadcore A-15 with 2GB ram. Also enough with pixel densities of 300+ Because in 2013 high ends would have ultra high definition of 1080 and pixel densities of over 400+ppi
Pete, 28 Nov 2012Sony called it mid range (or mid end), and yet it's expeceted to be better and more expensive ... moreXperia T high end??? but technically they have the SAME specs with Xperia V. The only obvious difference would be the bravia engine 2.
Pete, 28 Nov 2012Sony called it mid range (or mid end), and yet it's expeceted to be better and more expensive ... moreI was also wondering why they call Xperia V a 'Mid End' phone. But it looks quite logical now. The T and TX is the flagship for second half of 2012 but was relased very late. The XV with SONY all new technologies could be the first of the new group of phones. Based on the time that it is released worldwide - 2013 - and the coming phones - Odin, Yuga, this is truely a mid range phone in 2013. Yes, it is better than 2012 flagships :)

r... moreThat's an old article about an estimated Swedish (not Danish) release.
I'm still expecting a Danish release of Xperia V tomorrow or latest on Friday. If it's out tomorrow I'll be getting it before noon.
release date & price for Denmark..very peculiar :)
If you people think that the battery is not sufficient you should see Sony boost charging 10 mins 0 to 80%. Also to save battery turn of Bravia Engine when mot in use
Very nice specification. perfect smart phone for me. i like the water resistance facilities. 1 point down for missing camera button. battery 1750mh okay for mid range. i would buy it if price is not more than 25000 indian Rs.
Anonymous, 25 Nov 2012Where did you see it for 500 euro? I can find it for 600 only, which is just MAD - same price ... moreThe Danish retailer 3 is selling the phone in their stores for 3799 DKK(Danish Kroner) that's around 506 euros.
Pete, 25 Nov 2012Don't think it will be released in december. It's only up for pre order & won't get the ph... moreThis is a ( google translated) reply I got the official Sony Mobile DK facebook page.

because the cheapest Sony phone still give you some classy user experience :)
The smaller battery size should have been calculated to match the smaller screen size, dual core CPU and also the use of new display technology
If the Xperia V battery can handle a normal day use then Sony proves to be superior in performance optimisation. This has been evidenced in the way they maximise the use of dual core processor
