I would have gone for Xperia V instead of Nexus 4 if they launched with Quad Core processor and bit big display
I've been waiting for this phone, so i could amongst all get that 50gb free cloud storage!! & now the've postponed the release date!!come on!!
release date (or month):
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2012xperia v vs samsung galaxy s3??
plzzzzzz answer whats the advantages and disadvantages about ... moreadvantage of xperia V over s3
>>> ergonomic design, way bit smaller but still not lacking, greater pixel per density means you get more crisps images than s3 (which is more easy to snatch cuz of it's attractive large size)
>>> more powerful processor even though it's only dual core (and today's apps don't even need a quad, uh ask when the day comes when apps need quads? do you even think s3's specs would match to the phone on those days?
>>> WATERPROOF, SCRATCHPROOF. These two are the best assets of Xperia V over S3. Very well know that these qualities are needed nowadays.
>>> 13MP camera over 8MP of SGS3
>>> very sexy design and other technologies of sony (for bravia TV users)
>>> NFC connectivity
>>> lighter (120g over 133g)
and above all , it's SONY
Anonymous, 07 Nov 2012google it..it will be release late january.Wrong. They stated that - only in France it will be released late January. Other countries may get this late December.
one heck of a phone i hope it will be released asap!!
much greater than quad cores like s3. iphone 5 is no match on this one .. Release it right away!!!
J, 06 Nov 2012Comparing with iPhone 5 is not correct. iPhone 5 is more powerful cpu and especially gpu wise.you forgot to mention i-phone also comes with free i-dent and i-scratch, has no water or dust protection, no NFC, and you need to void warranty (jailbreak) to make half use of that processor you so talk
2013 will be the realease of the real Sony phone because they will completely remove the energy logo. Hope that sony will refresh their naming scheme like this. I'm confuse about their naminf scheme this 2012. 6 realeases a year will be enough so that they can support their product for future purposes.
Xperia Z - 5.8"
Xperia X - 5.3"
Xperia V - 4.8
Xperia T - 4.3"
Xperia S - 4.0
Xperia Q - 3.5"
6 inches is large enough for me.

barbosaboy, 06 Nov 2012shall i get the xperia j or xperia vXperia V of course. Xperia J is an entry level smartphone. V is waaay better. But cost much higher.
But then has anyone of you tried the MHL link? For me I would still prefer a separate port for HDMI and micro usb. Another thing if you buy Xperia V will it include the MHL adaptor and the regular HDMI cable? I don't think so knowing sony.
why xperia V isn't out yet?
simple, because Xperia Acros S is release just recently,. a month ago, if I'm not mistaken,. . they still want to sell it,. . and if you'll gonna choose, you would always prefer V right? once xperia is release.. no more sales will come from acro S.. since both are in the same level of hand set and both are water resistant just xperia V with better specs (just my opinion)
According to Sony Italy, the smaller, yet still high-end Xperia V will cost between 400 and 500 Euros, which is equivalent to about $510 to $650 U.S. dollars. That sounds like a very reasonable price, considering that the 16 GB iPhone 5 is priced at $650 and the Xperia V has very comparable specs.
Unfortunately, Sony Italy added that the handset will be out “by the end of the year”, which suggests it may be released on or around the Christmas holidays. Best case scenario might be sometime after Thanksgiving, which would be the last few days of November.
