xxx, 26 Nov 2013Is it really has a short battery span?..can you guys give me advice regarding batterycare..thanks!-Rule number 1: NEVER, NEVER let battery gets 0%.
-Rule number 2: DONT LEAVE THE PHONE IN A CAR IN SUMMER OR IN PLACES WHERE THE TEMPERATURE GETS MORE THAN 37º MORE OR LESS
-Rule 3: If you are not going to use the battery for a long time (more than 24 hours) the battery should be left with around the 40-50% of the charge.
-Rule 4: It is not recomended to use the phone when charging if it has got 100% of battery.
-Rule 5: It is better for the battery to make short cicles (charge until 80% and discharge until 20%) and different cicles every time: for example 80-50 90-60 60-30 45-20 50-10 100-80...)

shuvo028, 23 Nov 2013I am using this mobile for past 4 months. Have got it in 20500 INR. I was thinking for samsung... morethanks for your opinión. i have read before about people saying that the last 1% of the battery is not just any 1% and it lasts much more. Maybe if gsmarena had known this, the battery test would have been different.
Now i am testing 1800 mah Mugen Battery for xperia V, and so far the results couldnt be better in endurance and heating. When i finish i will publish the complete review

Nebula, 24 Nov 2013Is this phone has some overheating issue when using data mode or gaming?
Dear Friend ,
i have this phone it is not overheating but as you know it is heating when u use internet, the heat level is same even if you use 15 min to 2 hours.
awi., 24 Nov 2013No it doesn't have any over heating while using data or gaming i am using it for 2 years2 years? Really? Are you kidding? Xperia V was released December 2012, and you said that you are using this phone for 2 years? Hoho. Don't lie.
Yes it is. This is the issue the an Android phone is still not resolved.

maddy, 22 Nov 2013Is't Xperia v is a water proof. They claim so. I didn't try or dipped it in water.
I am using this mobile for past 4 months. Have got it in 20500 INR. I was thinking for samsung galaxy S3 (25000 INR). But as I had limit it around 20000, so thought to take this one.
Its really easy to carry, the curve shape of this mobile, gives a comfortable grab in hand.
display quality is good.really good. I have heard about wide angle. but i really dont know what it really is, or noticed anything about the wide angle. though, I have seen Xperia SP & galaxy S3. they have a better display than xperia V. May be xperia sp has pentile color display (Xperia V is RGB) & galaxy S3 has super amoled display So....
But Xperia V has a pretty satisfactory & good display in its cost( I consider the price also).
touch is good. feels good.
sound - good in outside speaker (have heard its speaker is not loud because of its water resistant facility) so yes, its good. & very good in headphone. not too loud, but soothing.
It claim to have 13MP camera.yes it is. there are lot of mods in camera. camera resolution is high, high details in photo u can get. but it gives a bit darker photo, specially the background, than samsung S3 & micromax canvas.& in few cases, (where the light is low, or there is a spotlight behind the object), galaxy S3 or canvas gives a better photo which looks good (even with their 8MP camera). need to analyse whether xperia V gives the original photo & S3 or canvas just increase the brightness in auto mode or not. but in outdoor, in daylight, in photo studio, xperia V is great.
Data connection works properly. done with 2G & 3G, its good.
didn't notice too much lag in apps till now. & I also dont use too much heavy apps.
lastly, the battery, which is a concern. battery drain like anything. In normal use, you have to charge it everyday, even before than that.
just to see, I had charged it fully 100% & had kept the brightness of its extreme lowest lavel, bluetooth, wifi, data off. it reduce from 100% to 1% & given me : 42 hrs idle + 1 hrs talk + 3 hrs music + 30 mins data . From 1% to switch off it delived : 13 hrs idle + 8 mins talk. Interesting, I think there is problem in battery indicator. whatever, I cant keep the brightness in lowest lavel & data, bluetooth off when i am outside. so I need to carry a portable charger.
water proof; I didn't tryed it yet. anyone did ? then inform me.If it is, then its an additional feature over galaxy S3, xperia SP & canvas. if accidentaly exposed in rain or dropped in water, reduce the risk of damage the device.
anyway, I suggest, If you have any budget & also want a brand name also, you can choose it. Its cheaper than galaxy S3 & xperia SP. otherwise....your choise is wide..
& in budget also, You can try canvas or xolo. I had operate these two for few times. they are good & cheaper than Xperia V.
ibk, 21 Nov 2013can i download blackberry messenger on xperia v yes you can. it works.
Tester, 19 Nov 2013The cons of xperia v are:
-sound: Its not as loud as other smartphones, but is loud enought, ... morenice opinion bro!
you just convince myself to buy xperia V instead of xperia sp after selling my xperia Z, the size of Xperia z and its sound just don't fit me. I will buy this phone once I found a Sony center near future. Cheers!
