I am using this mobile for past 4 months. Have got it in 20500 INR. I was thinking for samsung galaxy S3 (25000 INR). But as I had limit it around 20000, so thought to take this one.
Its really easy to carry, the curve shape of this mobile, gives a comfortable grab in hand.
display quality is good.really good. I have heard about wide angle. but i really dont know what it really is, or noticed anything about the wide angle. though, I have seen Xperia SP & galaxy S3. they have a better display than xperia V. May be xperia sp has pentile color display (Xperia V is RGB) & galaxy S3 has super amoled display So....
But Xperia V has a pretty satisfactory & good display in its cost( I consider the price also).
touch is good. feels good.
sound - good in outside speaker (have heard its speaker is not loud because of its water resistant facility) so yes, its good. & very good in headphone. not too loud, but soothing.
It claim to have 13MP camera.yes it is. there are lot of mods in camera. camera resolution is high, high details in photo u can get. but it gives a bit darker photo, specially the background, than samsung S3 & micromax canvas.& in few cases, (where the light is low, or there is a spotlight behind the object), galaxy S3 or canvas gives a better photo which looks good (even with their 8MP camera). need to analyse whether xperia V gives the original photo & S3 or canvas just increase the brightness in auto mode or not. but in outdoor, in daylight, in photo studio, xperia V is great.
Data connection works properly. done with 2G & 3G, its good.
didn't notice too much lag in apps till now. & I also dont use too much heavy apps.
lastly, the battery, which is a concern. battery drain like anything. In normal use, you have to charge it everyday, even before than that.
just to see, I had charged it fully 100% & had kept the brightness of its extreme lowest lavel, bluetooth, wifi, data off. it reduce from 100% to 1% & given me : 42 hrs idle + 1 hrs talk + 3 hrs music + 30 mins data . From 1% to switch off it delived : 13 hrs idle + 8 mins talk. Interesting, I think there is problem in battery indicator. whatever, I cant keep the brightness in lowest lavel & data, bluetooth off when i am outside. so I need to carry a portable charger.
water proof; I didn't tryed it yet. anyone did ? then inform me.If it is, then its an additional feature over galaxy S3, xperia SP & canvas. if accidentaly exposed in rain or dropped in water, reduce the risk of damage the device.
anyway, I suggest, If you have any budget & also want a brand name also, you can choose it. Its cheaper than galaxy S3 & xperia SP. otherwise....your choise is wide..
& in budget also, You can try canvas or xolo. I had operate these two for few times. they are good & cheaper than Xperia V.
ibk, 21 Nov 2013can i download blackberry messenger on xperia v yes you can. it works.
Tester, 19 Nov 2013The cons of xperia v are:
-sound: Its not as loud as other smartphones, but is loud enought, ... morenice opinion bro!
you just convince myself to buy xperia V instead of xperia sp after selling my xperia Z, the size of Xperia z and its sound just don't fit me. I will buy this phone once I found a Sony center near future. Cheers!

xperiaV, 19 Nov 2013hi,
i just bought a Xperia V. and so far its awesome phone all around. but i have s problem w... moreyou are answering to yourself: if other models does not have that problem, it is your problem. Take it to the shop and ask for another.
Anyway i am not worry about that. I only watch the screen when i am in front of. Besides you can root your Smartphone and install whitebalance. Increasing same values (oversaturing) the screen will be better to be watch from sides.
planing to buy a smart phone but confused between xperia v and xperia sp which one is best
i just bought a Xperia V. and so far its awesome phone all around. but i have s problem with the screen contrast. when angle it 10 degrees all the brightness gets little bit overrated. i have compared with another Xperia V and it looks like my device has the problem. when i look at the screen directly its ok. but if i angle with few degrees. this is not the case with Xperia P that i used before V. please give me your idea about this. does it same with you.
i love this phone's features. camera is the best
AnonD-199515, 18 Nov 2013yes i know friend, but i meant that does this mobile worth to buy??
thanks in advance!!The cons of xperia v are:
-sound: Its not as loud as other smartphones, but is loud enought, for example is louder than xperia Z. Waterproof requires this price.
-Battery life: It is not as good as other smartphones like for example xperia sp, but that doent mean it has a bad battery. You have to decide if 6 hours playing video or 14 hours calling is enought for you. Anyway you can purchase a replacement battery, for example, a mugen battery and not all smartphones let you replace the battery, for example, xperia sp or xperia Z
-The size could be smaller, should be as small as the screen.
-Some screens are a little yellowish, but you can change it installind screen adjuster, rooting and installing white balance or by downloading android 4.3 (i hope).
-Overheating. It heats a lot if you use internet (as most smartphones) for a long time, but dont worry, rooting and installing no-frills CPU setting processors to 702 can solve battery drain and overheating at the same time.
-Some people complain about the memory. I think its not a problem as long you can purchase a external SD for 8 euros/dolars
-The best camera of a smartphone (better than samsung 4, better than xperia z, better than htc one etc), I thave checked R sensor (xperia v) works much better than the new exmor RS sensor than ara inside the new smartphones. Only lumia 1020 can take better pictures (dont pay any atencion what people say, the photos of xperia V are amazing)
-The screen, the resolution, the contrast of the screen are amazing
-It is waterproof
-It has 4G
-It is very fast, sometimes wins quad core processors
-It is very light and confortable to carry
-It is very tought
I am very happy with it and as i told you i prefer the cons of that smartphone that the cons of other smartphones. For example, i cant bear the satured colours or the overheating of S4, the bad photos of htc one or xperia sp, the size of xperia Z1 or note3, etc)
tester, 18 Nov 2013All smartphones has their strong and weak points. I havent found the perfect Smartphone yet. T... moreyes i know friend, but i meant that does this mobile worth to buy??
thanks in advance!!
