AnonD-84831, 22 Oct 2013We r talking about cpus and batteries here . sorry,i am so xperiav lover that i didnt realized you are not comparing smartphones in general but only cpu and battery. my battery tests has nothing to do with the test of gsmarena.besides the battery test of gsm was made with icecream.jelly bean is better for battery i think

Xperia V eats more battery in order to feed the bigger resolution. (besides i think that the battery test are made for Samsung lovers)
Besides if you are worried about battery, you can purchase a replacement battery for very few euros

Samsung not only overheat , there are even several phones that made explosión!!!
Most lighter smartphones suffer overheating because of the small size, that include xperia v, xperia Z, Samsumg s4 (It is the worst because it has the battery near the procesor and the antenna). I am only giving solution to make xperia V run better that the rest.
If you root you dont neccesary lose the warranty, the european unión has a law that protect you. You should learn about it.
If you root xperia V wont have any problema, on the contrary, no battery drain, no overheating and of course never rebooting
When i was taking about cores i was thinking in general. I think that it is a crazy to continue the war of cores!! A Smartphone dont need that power, it has no sense

Xperia v only has 2 cores at 1.5 ghz not 4 cores at 2 ghz and galaxy s4 mini has 2 cores at 1.7 ghz
Besides, i dont want to Void my warranty by rooting my phone to underclock the cpu because it overheats causing battery draining and rebooting. Why doesn't it just work well and not overheat without underclocking ?????????
Samsung phones may be cheap plastic but they have much less issues than sony phones.
Sony phones r fancy looking but have many issues.

Anonymous, 22 Oct 2013first you have to root your phone.in internet there are a lot of guides.i used DOOMLORD scripc... morei meant NO-FRILLS CPY,that is free,but there are more posibilities like SETCPU.but i prefer nofrills because it is easy and dont need much permissons

5)if you want to throw away your money buying samsung plastic and buying high proccesors you will never use,it is your money

no thanks, i choose not to buy this faulty phone .
just look at the battery life tests the galaxy s4 mini and it even has a FASTER cpu and a SLIGHTLY larger battery.

do you mean cpu setting?
You need root the phone before. Later install the free App NOFRILLS CPU or similar, and set the two cores to 702 máximum.
I have explained before how to root. Read this fórum.
