When you get root, to get advance of it, you should download a browser from playstore or from internet, for example Xplorer that is free, there are a lot.
AnonD-191967, 01 Oct 2013hi can you tell me about camera please? (everything)Camera is good and overall the phone is good except for the battery which is really really disappointing for me. Today I used it for around 12 hrs with only 1 hrs of screen usage (around 40 mins max browsing) and the battery is down to 10%.
Sony Xperia V owner, 01 Oct 2013Yes the phone is updated. Does the calendar storage has any impact to the phone. What does it ... morei have no idea. Go to applications and ban every applicantions you dont like. Dont be afraid, if something stop working, enable the apllication again.
I have disable all relatived with facebook, gmail, maps, etc, and now i have more free RAM and maybe more battery. If some day i wanted to use facebook, i would enable it.

AnonD-191967, 01 Oct 2013hi can you tell me about camera please? (everything)Its a good camera (13 megapixel, R sendor, and nice lents) if you compare with similar smartphones. Of course it cant fight with the Lumia 1020 or the xperia Z1 becouse they are from a new generation, but it still can fight with samsumg S2,S3, S4, HTC one and xperia Z. During the day the photos are nice without any noise, and with the same quality of xperia Z for example. At night the automatic mode its worse than xperia Z because z has sensor rs that catch better the light. However using manual mode the quality at night improves and its better than automatic mode of xperia z, but yo have to learn to adjust the colour, the iso and the exposure.
It is a nice camera, but remember that if you have to get the best results, you will have to learn the manual mode.
If i have 3 seconds, i prefer to use always manual mode, because the automatic mode , for my taste, makes too warm photos.
One advise, disable bravia engine 2 if you dont want to watch people as if they were the simpson.
Summing up, its a good camera, even for perfectionist people like me.

Try to disable blootooh and hungried apps, reduce brightness to 25%. It is like if you had been making potos during 2 hours. maybe the battery is in bad mood.
Anyway. To improve the battery, get root. Install NO-Frills CPU and set the processor to 702 mh. Gobernator: ondemand and noob. YOu will have around 25% more of battery.
AnonD-44586, 01 Oct 2013does jellybean update eliminate sleep of death, battery draining and heating problems ?sleep of death sure. Heating and battery drain a Little. To solve heating and battery drain forever you have to get root and reduce the speed of the processor to 702.

I bought this phone about a week a ago, and the battery life is quite disappointing. Today I had the best battery life so far, it was 17 hrs with only just 45 mins of screen usage (which included around 35 mins of browsing only). Up to now I found out that an app named calendar storage eats the battery away. What can I do about this? Pls help. Thanks in advance. I have done the best I could do to save the battery
Hi can anyone pls help me with my xperia V walkman, it automatically stop after 2songs. I ve been sony ericsson panatic from k500, k750i and X10i this is the first time I encounter this with sony. And sony music is one main reason why I like sony. Please help. Thanks
Rus, 30 Sep 2013What would you all prefer to me Sony Xperia Acro S or Sony Xperia V?? It goes without saying :xperia v!!
AnonD-191772, 29 Sep 2013Are you a rooted Xperia V user? Can you share your experience? Is it better than the unrooted?Yes, i have rooted my xperia v, it was very simple, and i am very happy with the result. It is like if i had a new phone now: the battery lasts longer (solved with tha app NO-FRills CPU), heating is not a problem (solved with NO-FRills CPU) , my screen have a nice white (i have white balance http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2193471, bye damn yellowish screen!). I have improved the web browser installing free puffin and improved video player installing free and ad free Mx player. Now my smartphone is besides lighter, faster, nicer, longer than the xperia Z and htc one of my friends and they are very upset!, lol, xdxd
I have rooted after reading this: http://www.titularesandroid.com/2013/07/rootea-tu-xperia-z-y-muchos-otros.html
I think it is possible to unroot the phone.
