I can't believe how much bloatware is still on Sony phones nowadays by default whereas Samsung was making all headlines those past years due to touchwizz. That's really a shame from news sites. Sony is way worst. My last Sony was Xperia Ray, i just bought the Xperia X due to specs/price ratio (245$ atm) but i had so many apps to disable right away?! Wtf, and i'm not done optimizing. Sony menus are too "heavy" but still performance seems good enough thanks to its 3gb ram i think with Nougat installed by default on mine.
And there's not even a file manager installed on it. If i remember correctly, it was the same thing on my old Ray with less bloatware (on Gingerbread, on kitkat, it was fully bloated).
Screen looks very good for a LCD.
Fingerprint unlocking seems to be very fast since i don't have time to see the lockscreen as soon as i push power button.
I'm disappointed by the loud speaker even with enabling sound enhancements, videos sound either weak or cheap (i have many other phones to compare to), maximizing volume will result in saturated sound with enhancements..
I haven't tried camera or even calls, i'm waiting for my cover to take it outside.

I tried the manual mode today at a night market and it does wonders really. The pics turned out so sharp and bright even without using flash (I hardly use flash) I was really amazed with its camera capabilities the best you can get at this price, simply awesome.

paintbuckets, 27 Jul 2017So long time Xperia X users. Mind telling me how is the camera performance? Is it satisfactory... moreYES 100%. At that price it is considered very good for this kind of smartphone. The performance is solid, but do take note that some extreme games will have a slight lag because this is using a SNAPDRAGON 650. Camera is definitely a good deal since u got it at this kind of price. SnapChat won't lag or anything, it is based on how much RAM u used, unless the RAM is left with 200MB free but that couldn't be the case, since mine got a lot of apps but there is still 900+MB free. So get the phone, unless there is other cheaper Sony smartphones?
paintbuckets, 27 Jul 2017So long time Xperia X users. Mind telling me how is the camera performance? Is it satisfactory... moreCamera on the X is pretty good, takes sharp pics with natural colors which aren't over saturated. Outdoor pics are amazing and indoors/lowlight pics are also good. I compared the camera with the S7 (which people say has best camera) and there's nothing much to choose between them. It scored 88 on dxomark which is quite impressive. I'm really impressed with this phone, there're no lags whatsoever on this beauty. Design is solid, easy to hold in your hands. Rest is up to you after all it's your choice and money :-)
AnonD-678118, 27 Jul 2017Guys anybody noticed worst battery life after the 7.1.1 update??Yeah the battery life has gone down after the 7.1.1 update but it's not worse either, it still gives me around 19+ hours of juice on moderate usage. Standby time is still great mine goes down from 2% from night to morning. But yes the battery life before this update was solid.
So long time Xperia X users. Mind telling me how is the camera performance? Is it satisfactory upto your needs? How is the performance? Does it shutters or lag while switching apps? Especially Snapchat. Is it worth $245?
