Chaos X 1982, 04 Sep 2016S650 is too power hungry a SoC for such a small phone. Sony should had used S625 and make it I... moreI'd agree with this. If they didn't go for the performance, why not go for power saving with a SoC on a more modern process.
Of course, being a performance junky, I am truly disappointed that they did not put in a top shelf SoC with ~4.6-4.7" 1080p screen. Also, not available with that sexy forest blue color.
khaled elrachidi, 25 Aug 2016i hope the screen 4.7 inches with 1080 pI hope for a 3.5" 4K screen.
Just seen that standby time 750hr on 2700mah battery.
Chaos X 1982, 04 Sep 2016S650 is too power hungry a SoC for such a small phone. Sony should had used S625 and make it I... moreWell, you get a better camera, about the same SoC performance, 1gb more ram, louder speakers( no waterproof filter), more polished ui, and probably better batterylife, with qnovo...only waterproofing sacrificed.
X Compact looks a better choice to me.
Of course, z5c being cheaper too.
But personally, Id go for 450€ X compact
Its a good price/benefit deal
R31ya, 04 Sep 2016Xperia Xperformance is the one with ip6568 waterproof certification claim.
Xperia X doesn't h... moreExactly.
And no damage at all.
Ok not waterproof, but water resistant.
Definitly need not worry about splashes on X
S650 is too power hungry a SoC for such a small phone. Sony should had used S625 and make it IP68. For now, Z5 Compact seems to be a far better buy than X Compact. The fact that Sony decides only to water and dust resistance X Performance is a big mistake. Sony should had IP68 all of the Xperia X series.
AniruddhKY, 04 Sep 2016Please SONY launch this phone in India in September.. too eager to buy this. Xperia X is a great phone..
If X compact is not launched in India, Xperia X is a better option..
Even the prices are dropped by 20%.
Now X is available in India at the price of 35k only.
Tann Hauser, 04 Sep 2016Xperia X is actually waterproof too, so yes...Xperia Xperformance is the one with ip6568 waterproof certification claim.
Xperia X doesn't have any waterproof/resistance claim.
But, unofficially it survive being submerged under water for 2 minute tough there is a tiny bubble pops out from the lower speaker which mean a tiny amount water got in.
I like it. I may purchase it as a secondary phone due to it's size being fitting for some occasions.
For me, it has just the right set of features. And, I actually like that it is 9.5mm thick making it easier for me to hold versus a thinner device - it would be less likely to twist out of my hand.
The width, height and weight make it ideal for me for some occasions.
I have changed my mind, this phone even with this thickness looks outstanding, awesome...
That processor, with that resolution and that battery... we're in for some big battery life. If this is priced right this should sell like hotcakes to anyone wanting a small phone.
Swap27, 04 Sep 2016Feel the same... But Sony won't launch the compact in India... yeah
i was really looking forward to the z5c launching in india.
dont know but hope this one does
Anonymous, 04 Sep 2016Was planning on getting one until I found out that it won't be water resistant. Damn Sony, wha... moreThere is a chance that it actually is water resistant but sony just wont put it in advert for warranty reason.
Some youtuber test C5 (and some other phone) by submerging in water, C5 turns out to be fine.
