Sony Xperia X Compact is once again going for just $349.99

Sony Android Deals

Sony launched the Xperia X Compact in the US last year for a pretty steep $500 unlocked, but in the past few months we've seen its price drop quite a few times. At various points, the X Compact was sold for $450, $400, or even $349.99 back in December.

Now that best deal is back, and you can even pick your favorite retailer to purchase from - both Best Buy and Amazon list the exact same $349.99 price for the handset. What's more, all three colors are available - we're talking about, black, blue, and white.

It's unclear if this is a limited time thing or not, but it really shouldn't be given the X Compact's mid-range specs and its age. At this price, the small smartphone becomes much more interesting for many more people than before. Note that the units sold by the aforementioned retailers are unlocked, but they will only work with T-Mobile and AT&T, as well as MVNOs operating on their networks - so you can't use the phone on Sprint or Verizon unfortunately.

Well my point is the niche of the small android phone has very little competition right now. Need more competition at this size before value will get better. $350 is decent value now though

Sales records prove otherwise. 1) It may be the best compact Android (dubious but I'll go along), the thing is when you charge Apple-like prices people will then just try the smaller iPhones (which still sell like hotcakes -- go figure). 2) Pe...
