Don't buy it WHATSOEVER, I bought it for 10 days and the seller had to give me back my money
Battery life: no more than 90 minutes of actual usage (Facebook, whatsapp and Web browsing) I had to charge it twice a day even though I don't use anything that's battery consuming, it went from 100 to 0 while I was in a Skype video call for 42 minutes
Performance: on a scale of 1-10, 3
Display: I would go for an OLED display, I had a lenovo P1m and its 720*12** display seemed to be better.
Camera: Great....for the first 3 minutes at least then it will overheat the device and turn it off
SEVERE OVERHEATING ISSUES with all versions of Android
Bryll, 31 Jan 2017As I said, I was an actual owner, actual user of Z5. And only the owner one model of Xperia. ... moreNo no no, be careful, all of these videos has very low views, and one of them has 65 likes 60 dislikes almost XD , my suggestion for you is do not let these videos confuse you, real life experience is the real judgement, you have to buy then test it dude :)
Ali Bashir, 31 Jan 2017Hey dude, you have to actually actually own z5 before judging on it :)

Those FB clips mean nothing as FB is littered with false info. I could easliy supply 100 +++ clips to prove you wrong.
Try these google web pages with 10 FB clips on each page of overheating Sony Z5 problems...

Ali Bashir, 30 Jan 2017Absolutely wrong, Sony were aware, they used heat pipes to solve this problem and they succeed... moreI actually owned a Z5 for 4 months and just recently sold it, as I wasn't happy with it. The Z5 used dual heat pipes which helped the high temperatures a little, but its still ran hot. Its that plain and simple. In fact, under medium usage it would reach 70C easily. Never checked its temperature under very heavy usage as pop up warnings would tell me to shut it down regularly. But, holding a phone like toaster in my hands was ridiculous to me. Thats only one of the reasons why I sold my Z5. Unlike you, I don't pretend to own any other Xperia.
As for other brands, well they simply chose a safer/better option with the SD808 chip. Everbody saw what happened with the Z3+ using the SD810 chip.
You have never owned a Z5, so your comments are irrelevant and unknowledgeable. But, I see you in every Sony phone forum giving expert advice on products that you don't own. Plus, you are using 3 different user names here now.
FYI, Samsung has only used a single heat pipe in its S7 models and it was the thinnest design about.

Bryll, 29 Jan 2017Sony Z5 has SD810 chipset with known thermal heating problems. Only Sony used this chip as the... moreAbsolutely wrong, Sony were aware, they used heat pipes to solve this problem and they succeeded, while the other companies switched to other weaker chipsets because they didn't have the ability to solve this problem, before judging, you need at least to hold this phone in your hand and test it, SONY ROCKS :D.
Note that Samsung learned to use these heat pipes later with their smartphones and it is doing pretty good.
Ali Bashir, 25 Jan 2017No it doesn't overheat. Sony Z5 has SD810 chipset with known thermal heating problems. Only Sony used this chip as the other brands were aware of its drawbacks and most used the SD808 CPU. Samsung used its own cpu in the S6.

Really confused between X and X performance.... I don't have believe in Snapdragon 820.... because of Snapdragon 810 Heating disaster.... so the thongs that bothers me are heating, camera quality, battery, performance

Ali Bashir, 23 Jan 2017It has not a single issue, but sadly, you know the reviewers... Sony Z5 has SD810 chipset with known thermal heating problems. Only Sony used this chip as the other brands were aware of its drawbacks and most used the SD808 CPU. Samsung used its own cpu in the S6.
S6 is an ok phone, but battery life is average and there is no memory card slot.
Z5 is an ok phone, but also suffers from bad battery life and as all Sony phones with dual speakers, there is low volume.
everything is wow...
camera you can take pictures on manual mode
high speed perf on high end games
waterproof tested
except for battery - drains fast if data or wifi is on. it only takes 5hrs of usage. stamina mode takes 8-10hrs. ultra stamina takes a day before battery goes empty.
heating issues if used too much. much better if you use it in cold countries.
dont like ar effect app on camera.
Anonymous, 23 Jan 2017No man Z5 has Snapdragon 810.... Which has heating issuesIt has not a single issue, but sadly, you know the reviewers...

Anonymous, 18 Jan 2017Galaxy S6 or Xperia X PerformanceXP definitely. You might not wanna regret s6. Very disappointing
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2017I have watch reviews and reviewer said that X Performance is not up to the mark and it is real... moreDisappointing? Offcourss! Whenever it is a sony device and whatever it is "bad, good, amazing..." these reviewers will always review it as disappointing... Regarding to the Xperia x performance and the x i admit that they was pretty pricey, NOTHING ELSE.
Anonymous, 20 Jan 2017I have watch reviews and reviewer said that X Performance is not up to the mark and it is real... moreI've nothing to say in this regard. All the reviews or videos you read and watch about Sony are negative be it the Z series or the X series you won't find a single review which justifies their phones. All the praises go with Samsung and Apple even LG. But still I bought their phones (Z2,Z3,Z5 and X) luckily they all have been solid in terms of performance. You simply can't judge a phone without using it or playing with it in a store. I'm not against any brand but I still prefer Sony as their phones have been really good in build quality, stability and most important the updates even their mid range phones get the latest updates compared to Samsung.
Trever, 19 Jan 2017S6 is outdated, go for the X performance without any second thought.I have watch reviews and reviewer said that X Performance is not up to the mark and it is really a disappointment.... so what do you say in this regard
