I think before ppl buy the X assuming it's waterproof or water-resistant they should do more extensive testing. I'm buying the international version of the XP simply b/c that one is at least OFFICIALLY said to be water-resistant.
weird, twice saw X Performance review, twice unable to open with only word admin
titled Xtreme (like Rated X for X), pink colored one
There, posted. I'm sorry I have to do this to get it posted, tried to make sure what makes it not posted.... The certain phone is Note 5. Seems this case makes me unable to post
RockStar2005, 13 Jun 2016Nice vid Panda lol.I'm surprised as well, I mean, XEETECHCARE made a video between X and a certain phone after the X is dunked into the water and it's still work fine
Guys, I know this one's XP's thread, but XEETECHCARE just made a 2 minutes water test on Xperia X

They provide neat features Google doesn't. You'll love LG ux, everything is more fun. You'll also love oppo off screen gesture, and some its neat shortcuts bandits camera features. For note series with its S-pen, It provides highest level experience. Its man in suit.

Thanks. Yup I did, and it's going back (HTC 10). lol Yeah but I think the reason is not so much the extra megapixels, but it's that the ultrapixels the 10 uses are great for getting extra light but not great for picking up "fine" details.
Yeah when it comes to sound, Sony and HTC are the best! The only exception would be the LG V10, which like the HTC 10 and I believe all flagship Xperias, comes with its own SEPARATE PREMIUM amp/DAC chipset, which means its not depending on the sub-par quality of the 820 to handle audio processing duties.

Sure anytime. I've never bought an unlocked phone before, but I am excited to try one out! Will be weird (a GOOD weird lol) to not see the T-Mobile logo when the phone boots up. lol Sounds like you're quite experienced when it comes to these Lisa. I got the special phone settings from T-Mobile's site for unlocked phones, so I think I'm good to go. Yeah AT&T is GSM too so you will be just fine. You can check here too ( willmyphonework.net ) with regards to compatibility.
Yes it does, but you MAY be able to get it sooner than that. Though I had pre-ordered on Expansys, just a few hours ago a friend of mine on xda happened to notice that Amazon US SOMEHOW got the dual-sim int'l version of the XP and is selling it already!!!! (I wanted single-sim, but dual-sim will sell for more down the line) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FMABWWM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The thing is, the seller has a 100% rating on there, but there's a chance it may be the X and not XP they're selling. The price and description indicate XP, but the ASIN # at the bottom also shows as being the X's ASIN # on the French Amazon site. So I e-mailed the seller and will find out soon enough what's what. But I went ahead and bought it anyway! lol Worst case scenario, I get the X instead of XP and have to return it.
I'll let you and everyone reading this know for sure once I hear back. I also bought this sweet clear case as well. I always get clear as to not hide the phones' premium looks, like in this case, the brushed aluminum/hairline finish of the XP in graphite black or while/silver (I got black). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01FMABWWM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Unlocked is definitely the way to go - my last 3 phone purchases have been unlocked and I don't want to go back to carrier specific. I'm on AT&T, so I look for lte bands 2, 4, 17 (1900, 1700 abcde, 700 bc). It does indeed look like the XP supports them! Expansys site has so many things to offer :-) I've been hooked on PompMall (got both my Huawei's from them) but there's always room for more!

Well the thing is, the XP will ONLY be available as an unlocked purchase. So you won't be able to buy it through your carrier. So what I'm going to do is just pay off my S7 when the XP is finally released next month and then sell it on eBay, and use the profits from that sale to pay off the XP. I'm going to buy the international version of the XP from Expansys' US site. (Just Google them) They are based in Illinois (as am I), and have an A+ rating with the BBB. I also know someone who's bought from them too, so it's all good. They only sell the int'l versions unless otherwise noted. The U.S. version will come out later, cost more, and have NO waterproofing/dustproofing and NO active fingerprint sensor. No thanks! lol And I can get phone insurance for a good price on the unlocked XP from Square Trade (Google them too).
Which carrier do you have? The XP will only work on GSM networks like T-Mobile's and AT&T (etc), not Verizon or Sprint. I have T-Mobile. Let me know.

YW. That's cool! Everybody loves phones these days, or else everybody wouldn't have one. lol
Yeah I wish the Sony Stores in the US were still around. Now you have to go to Best Buy to even check them out in person. I have the S7 and am just returning the HTC 10 now. Both phones are great, but overall, I feel that Sony's Xperia X Performance (or XP) is the one to get. I have no interest in any other phones out there.
This is total bullshit! Why the fuck did they remove the ability to record 4K? Stupid move by Sony just like how Samsung removed the IR Blaster from the Galaxy S7. It wasn't hurting anybody it was a useful feature for people who'd use it. They shouldn't have removed it for no good reason! Well I was so hoped for a new phone, mines broken and I always wanted a Sony Xperia, so anticipated for this phone and to turn around and found out it doesn't shoot 4K. Looks like i'm just going to get the Galaxy S7 instead :(

I am pretty excited about the Sony XP too. I wish the shops around me had demo units of Xperia x, XP, HTC 10, etc. You can get a pretty good feel for the device by picking it up and swiping through some screens & apps. Anyway, I have a while (October) before my new phone purchase is allowed. I am a gadge-a-holic ;-)

The HTC and the Sony Xperia phones' UI have been said to be very similar to stock. I don't really like the Samsung phones as I feel the UI (TouchWiz) is too laggy, and the Settings menu is a bit complicated (though better than before).
I have the S7 now but can't wait to sell it off for the Xperia X Performance! I just tried out the HTC 10 and though both it and S7 have some great features, overall, I think the XP is the best. They may have a 2K screen, but the XP has the best camera of the 3 (check this out: http://imgur.com/a/ywBeN ) and is basically (for the most part) the best of those 3 phones.

I'm waiting for the guy in the jacket, jeans, shoes and guitar to arrive ... Note 7? Xperia X? HTC 10? Huawei P9? :-)
I'm working with T-Mobile and they have a contact person at Sony Mobile who will help answer some questions with regards to VoLTE and T-Mobile certification for that, and if Sony's already done that (or needs to) or not. (Note: I had to edit my message a lot in order for it to post. GSM, please fix your software!)
GSM won't let me post the rest of my message. They really need to fix their software. Says I'm spamming but I'm not doing that at all.
gaaron, 12 Jun 2016Lol bro...:-D welcome back...haha what happen to htc 10 its a cool phone...but xp is cooler i ... morePart 1 of 3:
Yeah the XP is cooler. The HTC 10's camera is DEF the best yet for HTC, but still, when I'd zoom in on photos with like "small writing" on it, the 10's camera would just render it somewhat blurry, where the S7's camera would show all the details. But then in certain cases, it seemed like the 10's camera was more "color accurate" than the S7's, though I think that was only in RAW or manual mode? Either way, the XP's camera will outdo them both (from what I've seen from samples people have put here.)
The HTC 10's audio though is pretty amazing. The speakers sound 100 times better than the S7's lone speaker, and audio-wise for headphone listening, they sounded amazing to vs. S7. I wanna say they were slightly clearer than the S7, but the amp on the 10..........wow! 100% volume on the S7 was only like 60% on the 10. No joke. HTC knocked the audio thing out of the park on this one! (I'd still prefer the bottom speaker was on the front not the bottom end of the phone, but I guess it DOES make the surround sound better.)
