Yeah I said it.
This article is superb and simple to understand differences:
Avan Dr, 20 May 2016Sorry.. i am sure somebody said 'contender'.
Yes x maybe beats G5 and 10. But X also beaten... morebeaten by phones like A5 and Redmi 3 ? are you really serious now ? do your trolling know any boundaries and limits ?
Both A5 and Redmi 3 have bigger battery and totally worthless low clocked cortex A53 cores!!!
Redmi 3 have massive 4100mAh battery+720p screen versus 2620 mAh+1080p in Xperia X. You are saying to me that these phones have better battery life , seriously who are you kidding? go troll someone else !
[deleted post]Sorry.. i am sure somebody said 'contender'.
Yes x maybe beats G5 and 10. But X also beaten by many phones like A5, redmi 3. So it doesnt worth to talk. And X battery life isnt outstanding, bcz it is far from A5.
Aa2, 19 May 2016No 4k recordingXP's main camera could record 4k vid

A5 battery scores better than G5 means its a contender for G5? No. G5 has QHD screen, AOD display.
And no, X battery life isnot outstanding, bcz A5 with older octacore cpu scores much better than X. 90 compared to 67.
To be honest imo XP is not a contender for S7, G5, or 10. Its better to compare XP with Mi5.

when it comes to a battery life those are almost completely two different devices sharing only same screen(even that we don't know for sure but screen probably is the same) .
why are they different ? because little bit different battery capacity and big difference when it comes to a chipset one is 28nm and the other is 14nm and manufacturing process of chipset plays most important role(after battery capacity) when it comes to battery life.
Yes , I meant 2016 . LOL sorry for that mistake... it happens ....
OLED having an advantage when it comes to video playback ? yes that is true and although I agree with that completely I'm not the one who said that...I think Tann or someone else mentioned it.
Avan Dr, 20 May 2016Wow.. You said you guarantee everybody here XP will have 100h battery life? Dude, Are you drun... morefirst of all I said ''almost'' and if Sony uses same kind of optimization on XP they used for X then it will definitely . but it depends on SONY .
panda27, 20 May 2016you should thank TeamAndroid, RockStar2005. I only check the info on both SD 650's and SD 820'... moreYeah we'll have to see how it goes. I just hope I actually GET the XP in July. I'm looking into how I (living in the U.S.) can get my hands on it w/o having to wait longer. The X is being released on May 26th, yet both the U.S. Sony Mobile and U.S. Amazon sites don't even have it listed for pre-order yet! But the UK Sony Mobile and UK Amazon sites already do and have for weeks. So I may have to order the XP from them? Sucks but oh well. I'm not even sure if the UK Amazon will have it, but they said "third parties" in the UK will, so I'm hoping at least ONE of them will be selling on the UK Amazon site AND that those sellers will ship to the U.S. (why aren't other smartphones so hard to get?! lol)
This company is located near me so I MAY order from them? http://www.expansys-usa.com/sony-xperia-x-performance-unlocked-32gb-graphite-black-288247/
Thanks Team! lol
RockStar2005, 20 May 2016 Thanks for the info panda27! Good to know. you should thank TeamAndroid, RockStar2005. I only check the info on both SD 650's and SD 820's process technology as Team said on qualcomm site, and it is true (looks like lower nm is better on that aspect). However, field test might say different result (worse, exact or better, who knows), so let's just hope the field test result is satisfying
Avan Dr, 20 May 2016Wow.. You said you guarantee everybody here XP will have 100h battery life? Dude, Are you drun... more
TeamAndroid said will have almost 100h, not will have 100h. I'm not really sure it could reach almost 100h (will be glad if did, currently interested on XP), but XP will have better endurance than X's. SD 820 on XP have 14nm while SD 650 on X have 28nm, twice the SD 820 has, and supposed to be more power-friendly.

As far as the trends go...
Regular Flagship: 5.2"
Plus/Premium Flagship: 5.5"
So I expected this phone would go for 5.5".
Also, one thing that this phone still "misses" for me is the thickness. Sony managed to have 7.x thickess for the last Z flagships. But with those 23MP+13MP shooters, it can't be helped.
Tann Hauser, 19 May 2016All I can tell you is, my z1c 2 years ago had 10hr videotime, now it has 6hr videotime....
X ... more
Yes, thanks to the QNovo QC 3.0 charger, that should be EXACTLY what you should expect from your future XP battery life!
Yes, QUITE superb! lol
TeamAndroid, 19 May 2016why you guys even mix up Xperia X and X Perfromance ? I garantie to all of you if sony uses sa... moreTeam,
I wasn't mixing them up. As you can see, I clearly labeled each phone by its correct name. The article was focused on the Xperia X, so I based my statements on both the X and XP off of that. It only makes sense that the XP would have better battery life. It has the SAME screen as the X (both size & type), and the 820 processor is supposed to be more power-efficient (but also more powerful) than past Snapdragon processors, like the X's 650 processor.
Yes I was trying to point that out too that the X is already a strong contender against the other current flagships, and it's not even a flagship phone itself, which is awesome!
Best in 2015? I'll assume you meant 2016. lol
OLED has an unfair advantage for dark video playback vs. LCD? Interesting. I will have to remember that. Thanks for sharing!!! They should've used more brighter video then.
Oh I know they're trolls. lol That doesn't make their info automatically wrong, but in this case, I think the article (and your info) MORE than proves that the XP will prevail where it counts the MOST!
So you're saying black on LCD actually eats up more energy (the opposite of the OLED statement you made)?? Please clarify your statements.

Same for browsingtime and all other
Now that is one superb fact when you come to think about it
RockStar2005, 19 May 2016
Not sure why you think ... morewhy you guys even mix up Xperia X and X Perfromance ? I garantie to all of you if sony uses same kind of optimization for XP it will have almost 100h endurance rating .
Xperia X is already outstanding for midrange phone that uses 28nm soc and 2620mAh .
It beat phones like G5 and HTC 10 only S7 dose little better than Xperia X but those are flagships and Xperia X is midranger !! (14nm vs 28nm , 3000mAh vs 2620 , flagship vs midrange phone )
X Perfromance have 14nm soc and a bit larger battery . so battery life will be best in 2015 on this phone.
