Sean Smith, 28 Jun 2018Bud, I own the phone, I tested my proximity sensor, its so weak it only registers on the right... moreI had sam problem with proximity sensor.. Making call was impsible, it end call on it own or hold.. So i sent it on servise and they replace my phone with new one, so i got it today and will see
I've owned this phone for a month now. I've had Z3C before for 3 years and then the touchscreen issues begun. The battery is impressive, it lasts me for solid 3 days with 6-7h screen on time, but I don't use the phone that much (calls, sms, Twitter). The display is nice and bright, the camera is pretty great, but nothing special. The fingerprint reader could be faster and more accurate. I've had no problems so far. The performance is great, no lags, no proximity sensor problems, no gorilla glass problems, no wifi problems. None. The phone works great and I got for 250€, so I'll say it was a pretty good deal. It's a nice phone if you're not a heavy user like me.
There is a problem with wifi, if I disable it a while will get stuck and doesn't start anymore, I have to reboot phone to work again. Anyone else having this problem? Is really frustrating, also there is no software update, I have the latest installed.
Bud, I own the phone, I tested my proximity sensor, its so weak it only registers on the right hand side of the phone, its pathetic. Making a call is a unnatural experience. You have to hold the phone right on ur ear, on the right hand side of the phone! How could they get something so simple wrong? Overall: The battery life is great but the cpu/onboard phone storage/memory is still a little too slow(photos take a bit too long going from fuzzy to clear. Either the onboard memory is slow or the cpu), coming from a iPhone 5s and 6s, I thought the phone was nice except for the bad design of the proximity sensor! So no, don't buy it. The sensor is a deal breaker.
Sean Smith, 27 Jun 2018Battery is awesome but proximity sensor is on the right and u have to specially hold it CLOSE ... moreAlmost all phones have the proximity sensor on the right. Don't know what you are complaining here.
Battery is awesome but proximity sensor is on the right and u have to specially hold it CLOSE & ON your ear to stop it from turning the screen on. If you don't then the screen comes on and u start activating the speaker or mic controls during a call. Pathetic.
Hi, guys. I want to buy this phone, but in the official Sony forums many people complain about serious proximity sensor issues during call. Can someone who owns this phone say something more about this. Thanks.
Yabooty Dubs, 22 Jun 2018I'm still wondering why this awesome phone was not released in my country (I'm Philippines btw... moreYeah! Please Sony give some comments, why are you not releasing this good phone including your mini series (compact phone) here in philippines? Is there some issues? Please answer us!
I'm still wondering why this awesome phone was not released in my country (I'm Philippines btw...) but released its ULTRA version.
I have a brand new xperia xa2 device. Vertically, two faint stripes on both sides of the Gorilla glass are visible. It's like being on the surface of the glass but it can not be cleaned. The display all surface is works fine! I think there is no display problem but Gorilla glass. But these two bars appear when the device is on. Like it would be visible when it came to warming, when the power is off, it is not visible. Looking at some angle from the display. I sent photos to the official Sony site. Has anyone encountered this problem?
I agree with a previous commentator. I had the Sony Z3Compact. Incredible phone in every way , except the camera (but the model is like 4 years old). The battery would last 2 days and continue this way for 2 years. No lag, no problems.
I recently purchased the pink version for my gf and she absolutely loves it. The battery lasts a full day of use. The back camera is great. The front camera not so great. We did some low light selfies together and it was dark and grainy.
QC3.0 works great, but not sure why the original charger it came with is a standard non-QC. But once we got a Car and Wall QC3.0 charger its great.
Wish there was wireless charger as well
She doesn't mind the thickness and she said it felt good in her hand. The phone feels nice to the touch but the back is plastic. Still a solid feel to it.
Overall if you not a gamer and don't need the top of the line Snapdragon this a good bet. The Pink definitely will attract female users

Anonymous, 07 Jun 2018Can the fingerprint reader be used for anything else besides for just unlocking the device? The fingerprint scanner can also be used for Google Services. I know it can at least be used to make payments to the Google Play store, for music, games and whatnot.
