Please help me . which is better Huawei Nova 2plus or Sony Xa1ultra. I wish i can wait xa2 ultra to be announced but no fix time for that plus price is not known yet.
Should have use SD 660 instead of 630. Furthermore the back should have ois camera instead of front selfie camera. Really seem ridiculous n funny indeed.
I won't bother with brand names anymore ... just go for something that has similar specs and cost way cheaper ... such as OnePlus5T or even an Infinix phone
Gen tse, 11 Jan 2018Still worse mobile sony does not learn how to do it correct...
It 18:9 ration time with 6 inc... moreLmao!! It hasn't even been pubicly released yet but just announced!!!! and considering it a mid-range SoC, the price would make it even more expensive like $400-$500+....
Heck even Scamsung sells their latest shitty exynos SoC A8 for like $550+ whose overpricing now??
Kumar, 11 Jan 2018Over pricing kills sony market...in the smartphone competition..I agree. I love Sony Xperia phones, but the prices are a bit too much, compared to some other manufacturers.
Because let us all be honest here, the additional price we are all paying for is actually for the BRAND NAME.
Because if we remove the Sony brand name on these phones, the price equivalent to the specs that they put inside their phones should be a lot cheaper.
If sony keep on giving high price tag means it is better to stay away from the competition among the best phones because within 20k most featuring smartphones are available in market...if sony gives price tag to reasonable price means it is considerable otherwise go-ahead for some other brands
Still worse mobile sony does not learn how to do it correct...
It 18:9 ration time with 6 inch display and never forget to jump in to a midrange phone race with 18:9 ration display dual camera n snapdragon 660...come on do it....don't make me dispoint me
V_sony, 10 Jan 2018Have been busy on my xperia z ultra for the last 3 hours, mix of TV news live apps downloading... moreUses only when reading or watching news live apps and some surfing. LOL! You don't even use the Z ultra anytime cause you have other phones. That "charged 1 day ago" means that you literally don't use the Z ultra other than watching some news and surfing the web. So you prove nothing about its usage!
The chipsets are one generation behind after new Snapdragon 670 and 640 released. Sony should at least give 660 not 630. 630 is not much difference with 625. 2017 with 630 while other brands give 670 at the same price with this phone. At least fixed back the price! Your phones doesn't give much transformed from your predecessor Sony! Is this your strategy to kill other brands out there?
Sony did not release the official price yet because they are still gauging people's reaction. Remember how the price jumped by about 30+% from the original XA to the sequel XA1? The way people are somehow overhyping the XA2, another price jump is imminent. But personally, if the XA won't be priced higher than $330, it will definitely have a fighting chance, sales-wise, against the trendy 18:9 midrange phones from Chinese brands.
V_sony, 10 Jan 2018Have been busy on my xperia z ultra for the last 3 hours, mix of TV news live apps downloading... moreGot the Samsung Note 3 around that time. Still in working condition and seriously considered the Z Ultra as my next device, even though it was two years old by then. Beautiful device indeed.
It is interesting to notice that Sony has divided user opinion for quite some time. They found a design they (and frankly myself too) like and stuck with it. Personally, I'm very fond of Sony's build quality and design, but can appreciate public opinion that they tend to overprice devices. The same can be said of many phone manufacturers; Apple and Samsung come to mind. Then again, you get what you pay for.
On a different note, I've noticed that Sony listened to public opinion and have rectified some device shortcomings. For one, the forehead and chin bezels are much smaller on the new devices (if they're removed all together, Sony devices will end up looking identical to Samsung and the rest), the battery has been enlarged dramatically, they're on board with Corning Gorilla Glass and the like. This in my opinion is important, for a company to fix their device shortcomings in the next iteration.
I'm excited to get my hands on this device in South Africa, especially if the price stays on par with last year's offering. Sony is carving themselves a niche in the mid-range market, which is good news for buyers who want a dependable device with flagship-like features on a budget. In my honest opinion, this might just be it.
