LaserDiode, 20 Nov 2017Dude, I just read your opinion for the Xperia XZ. And I've noticed that most of your ratings a... moreThanks for the comment, man. Yeah, been using this since it was released, overheating is when you record 20-30 mins long definitely, it'll heat up a bit. Selfie is smooth, the rear camera is hell nice. I mean, to me it is. I take pictures especially outdoors and it's smoothness and the crisp of the photo is really good. I am not b*llshting. Changes and improvements will be there because of the updates.
Now it is on Android 8.0, and it's even better. The camera as I have noticed, it's waaayyy better now and specs-wise the battery is okay as it can be but it can survive with average use within a day (camera use, gaming and calls)
I recommend this because I know budget-wise it is the best that it is out there in the market. We want good cameras on a phone, fast and comfortable in the hands and yes, the XZ is here for ya brotha.
But you can try first, I am not saying this is the best. But so far, it's reliable. AND, inexpensive. :) cheers.

If you can still send it back and get another one then go ahead.
AnonD-716328, 26 Nov 2017I have still not got that even my phone is official from uk. Its taking sometime to rolling out globally.... within 1 week will get all xz
I am Sony (Sony Ericsson) user last 10 yrs, or more. I am sure that XZ is the LAST Sony i will ever use. Sony XZ was flagship phone...so.. best of the best. And i bought it. And i regret the day when i bough it. Battery is disaster. Normal usage MAYBE 1 day. Last summer i couldn´t use my camera more than 2-3 minutes. It was hot outside, around 30 C, couple of photos, normal video recording.. overheat warning pops up and camera shuts down. phone gets so slow. XZ is capable to record 4K videos... i have never used it. Overheating after 20 secs. Bluetooth... having constant problem to connect to my Philips headset, Volkswagen car radio...
nothing good to say about XZ :(
Jeanne, 25 Nov 2017Update oreo is now available for XZ and XZsI have still not got that even my phone is official from uk.

The RAM on xz is 3 while on al 2016 major competitors was 4 or more. ... moreMake sure you turn off the smart cleaner, my Xperia x with 3 GB of ram too used to close all apps when the smart cleaner is activated, but after i turned it off it can keep more than ten apps opened which is actually supposed to be too much.

and it seriously has management issues.
you have 17? I can have 50. but how many of them remain open in the background without re-launch? my xz can only keep 4, maybe 5.
a joke device...
[deleted post]10 years ago or 1 year ago, both are history now. The difference is that exploding battery issue is fixed but sony's heating issue is not fixed yet and still plague their flagships.

If you called this is over heating issues, you are very wrong and it is clear that you don't know sh*t about smartphones. We call overheating issue only when the phone is heated so much that it impairs the function of the phone, i.e., when your XZ shows some functions of camera is not usable because of temperature rise or your XZ will force shut down camera due to temper rising. That's the real heating issue.
