The forest blue is between shiny and gorgeous, it reflects to your eyes the most important and big details in the smartphone design which are mostly beautiful, and not prone to get dirty.
The blue seems to be better.

Laqesh, 18 Nov 2016I am sure you have't got a chance to check the audio quality Xperia XZ connected to Sony MDR-1... moreWell well well, I checked the quality using these:
1) B&O H6
2) Audio-Technica ATH-ESW9
3) Sony MDRXB950BT
4) Sony XBA-1
Impressions? The sound quality is not bad, but also not great, max 7/10, ie. Sony MiniDisc still kills this phone by far. On the other side, you need an amplifier to get that sound to higher spheres.

And bad quality? Seriously? Go make something like MZ-NH1, or SVZ1315 or their high end camers and camcorders, Bravia TVs, etc. U have no clue what you r talking about.

Tested out headphone sound on a bunch of others, none compares to dedicated Sony headphones coupled with a Sony flag phone...they just work together for a perfect sound experience.
Except LG, havent tried LG yet, none of my aquaintances own it.
Laqesh, 18 Nov 2016I am sure you have't got a chance to check the audio quality Xperia XZ connected to Sony MDR-1... moreWhat I meant was I went back to Sony after experiencing horrible audio quality from other brands. His 3 days experience with XZ was normal. It's just something he's not happy with, similar to my experience with other brands. Brand A, I wasn't happy with this; brand B, I wasn't happy with that; brand C, I wasn't happy with something else. And so I went back to Sony, issue solved.

First, other company will know how bad their skills, and how poor they are actually. they even cant do little thing like tweak notification, status bar, task manager, etc. Then they need to build a software and hardware with others? bad idea.
Second, works with others means they will spend extra money. They only do cost cutting, like make a cheap lo cost flagship with skyhigh price, light modded UI so they dont need many engineer, poor marketing.. etc.

Sony please use super amoled or oled display and loudspeakers compare to samsung ,,,and please upgrade your image processing in software. ..
Still sturdy and bulky look and form? Well, I do agree with the minimized top and bottom bezel but I supposed its only for concept purpose. Sony does not have the enthusiasm of considering blogs, recommendations and comments. They ignore it actually, while all other manufacturers except Apple, worked hard for phone bezel and size minimization. What Sony did not know was that they failed in the market just because of these issues. You can put or Institute all the latest technology, but if the phone looks so bulky, I am sure it will be ignored. See how Samsung or even the amareur Huawei success in the market? Its mainly due to the look and form factor as they consider blogs, recommendations and comments by others.
nouna, 17 Nov 2016Is it true that the dual sim one has no memo card slot? meaning that you cant have the three ... moreIt's true. Either dual sim or one sim and SD card. Same goes for the S7 and newer phones I believe
Here we go again...another ho-hum, over-priced so-called "flagship" phone from SONY. Why do they even bother to try to compete in the world market? Their camera sucks, there is no fingerprint scanner on US models, no dual-sim on US models, no "quick charge" charger plug in the box yet the phone has quick charge capabilities, no SONY retail outlets in the US for purchase and service (like Apple), no headphones included, still overheats and still only has 3GB memory while others have at least 4 and some 6 GB, ugly color choices....shall I go on?
But most important, their customer support is totally worthless. You can only get warranty service on your SONY phone if you are in the country of original purchase. This means you cannot get service on a phone purchased in USA if it breaks while on vacation in Europe, for example. This is absolutely unacceptable. Really SONY? Even in the country of purchase, you must send the phone back to SONY and wait several weeks to get it back, with everything in it erased! No wonder you are losing your a$$ in the smartphone business.
Look, I am not a fan of Apple, and I own nothing Apple makes, but you must admit they have a far superior all-around product. First they make an excellent highly regarded well-made product, but more importantly, they back it up with truly amazing customer support.
SONY will never amount to anything if they don't get their act together. Who is running SONY anyway? Do they read these reviews and learn about their potential customers?
SONY need to either lower the price or make the XZ more competitive. If they want to run with the big dogs, they need to start acting like they are serious about this business. So far, they are far behind the curve with no improvement in sight.
nouna, 17 Nov 2016Is it true that the dual sim one has no memo card slot?
meaning that you cant have the three ... moreThe memory card slot is shared with the second sim so no, you can't use all 3 at the same time. Either 1 sim + memory card or 2 sims + 0 memory card.
The USB 3.0 is set to 2.0 charge levels but it isn't that bad for quick charging.
Overall, I'm a lot more impressed by the Xperia after having it for a month now. Compared to the Samsung, there isn't that much bloatware on it. There are a few apps that I have no intention on using but compared to Samsung which runs on the get go, the Sony ones don't. 3GB memory isn't that much a hassle as the newer memory optimisations are quite good. You're getting an almost stock Android with a little Sony enhancements. Camera is decent as is the Album app to store it. Just make sure you set the right MP in the options in the app.
Overall, a good showing by Sony compared to Samsung which at this time, I would be already looking to root the damn phone...
Which color is the best in your guys' opinion??
I really like the Platinum/Silver one, but Forest Blue is the only available color from the company i'm buying it from (for a cheaper price) and if i want the Platinum one it means i have to wait one more month and even then, i might not find a suitable offer to my budget.
Should i just take the good offer and buy the Forest Blue? or should i wait one more month AND with a big chance that i might not be able to get the Platinum one anyways?
Please note: my current phone is 4 years old and almost dead (it was even released in 2011 and is super outdated regardless of my personal phone's current situation, which is so sad), plus i really NEED - not just want - a new phone!
I wanna hear your personal opinion. Plus any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance.
Xscrambler, 17 Nov 2016You're not making any sense. The amount of apps (and installed apps) on the platform means not... moreNot all Android phones with same hardware perform similarly. Software optimization plays an important part, and this is where Sony shines.
Android requires more RAM than WP. That's true. Still, WP is trash.

No options to repair this phone in the United States. If you get it and the screen cracks or has any issue you will not have the option to repair the phone. Don't believe me; email the sony support for their phones to confirm. Same thing with Xperia X line. No options for any repairs at all just "buy a new phone". Just a warning
