I am a XZ owner, My personal opinion about the device is, it's build quality is outstanding and best I have seen from a smartphone so far. System works super smooth without any lagging and I love this phone. Previously I was using xperia Z2 and feels a giant step from my old xperia to XZ in every aspect.Even though Z2 is 3200mph battery and XZ is 2900mph battery, I don't feel much difference of battery life of them. Consider buying this phone without a doubt, because it offers you real life performance and best quality up to date out there.
Mr.Mr, 10 Nov 2016Is it worth it to switch from sony z5 to sony xz?? Lemme know guysI don't think that's a good idea considering the fact that Z5 is a very good phone and will be updated to nougat soon. You can still keep it for some time and wait for XZ's price to go down.
Mr.Mr, 10 Nov 2016Is it worth it to switch from sony z5 to sony xz?? Lemme know guysConsidering the Z5 is last years flagship and Sony definitely will still have support for it for maybe 3 or 4 more years via Software Updates. It's up to you if you wanna get the XZ or get flagship phones every year w/c kinda money wasteful and you won't be able to get the feel for every Sony phones on how they build quality phones that don't burn or explode. Batteries lasts longer. Etc.
Overall Keep the Z5 or pass/sell it on to someone Sony phones have high resale value since their safe from life hazard.

If Sony flagship device used DDR4,they must be win DDR3.Many brand say used 4 GB ram but DDR3 only.Apple used DDR4.DDR4 ram are very fast than DDR3.

Anonymous, 10 Nov 2016Galaxy S6, S7, other flagships also have LPDDR4 RAM.But xperia xz is better and faster than their ..
Next year 2017 Sony should make note series like Samsung with...it will be Sony Xperia Note XZ
As a Sony fan, I was baffled too when Sony sticks to 3GB for their flagships phones, especially when other manufacturers have gone to 4GB and even 6GB. Whether 4GB and above is a necessity or not, I leave that to the experts. But what I notice is, starting from Xperia X Performance, Sony used LPDDR4 RAM for their flagships. From what I read, it is a big improvement over the old LPDDR3 RAM. Perhaps this is the reason why Sony is sticking with 3GB RAM. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I hope GSMarena will start to include this in the phone's specification section too.
