Eventhough the phone it self is great? .man i dont know what to say anymore...(facepalm)
I'm not buying a sony phone again. Or any other sony stuff... Why, you may ask - since this phone is technically quite good. Indeed, the build quality, specs, battery etc is good. But.. the firmware it ships with.. is packed with non-removable sony crap. The notorious "what's new" app is driving me crazy. Its blatantly spying on me. I googled some movie on imdb - after a minute "whats new" pops me a notification saying "hey did you know you can watch film trailers in me?" I talked to a taxi driver about phone batteries - when I got home, it popped some notification abut power management. I could go on and on. Basically at this point I can either root the phone and void my warranty, or continue getting mad over this spying crap every day. I cant disable, uninstall or block it. Sony gives me no choice. By the way samsung has an official app which uninstalls all bloatware from their phones. So you guys might wanna look that way. Or any other decent device manufacturer. I'm not buying ANYTHING from sony ever again in my life.
Sajeeb, 11 Aug 2017My XZ got scratch easily...what to do now?Protect with case and screen protector.
KF, 07 Aug 2017So forget 4K, does it overheat when taking a couple of pictures? And what about gaming performance?Taking photos wouldn't overheat just a bit warm giving my own opinion since I am using it for taking photos. The camera shut down problem comes whenever u use 1080p60fps or 4K recording, if they remove the overheat control app then it wouldn't have shut down. Gaming performance definitely good, graphic intensive games is very smooth, but almost seldom the frames will drop slightly
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2017Even if it is 2020 it will lag. Unless they get rid of their heavy laggy UI with too much bloatware. There is no bloatware in the S7. All preinstalled apps are just standard Google apps and Samsung apps. There are no crappy apps like Amazon Shopping and AVG installed like Sony phones have.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2017S7 will lag. XZ won't.S7 doesn't lag in the slightest. Stop lying. In fact the XZ is full of Sony bloatware that can't be uninstalled.

And others, didn't even want to have a chance to try it out, and spout some hatred when they don't even understand the smartphone features and never get to use them

Not to mention the myriad of functions and modes in the camera app. The S7 is simply much much better than the XZ.
Anonymous, 07 Aug 2017The S7 gets warm but it doesn't overheat. Big difference. And most importantly, it doesn't ove... moreThe one difference is like what u said, the camera overheating. GALAXY S7 heats up too in recording, but doesn't shut down unexpectedly
