minimum for vr is 800 pixels per inch. 5inch 2K is still terrible for vr.

Ali Bashir, 04 Jan 2017Please show us where it appears too low!! Lol.1080 x 1920 pixel Resolution of XZ is too low for VR....2K is bare mininum, although 4K is best. Sony has used this same resolution for a few years now. Anyway, to my knowledge, Sony doesn't have mobile phone VR yet.
Anonymous, 04 Jan 2017Now thus is a True Sony cell owner!! Hehe This is base on my Xperia Z2, 2 and half years experience, I hadn't try and owns the later Xperia like Z3, X-series and the latest XZ (I only try the demo set).
I am happy with my Z2, it is very sturdy, I really drop it many times (with front tempered glass protects), but it smooth fast and get software update until android 6.1, thats is enough for me.
I think the newer must even better on everything including the waterproofing designs, you can see they dismiss the cap in each generation and add-in the Qnovo battery charging tech and the pure true scene color as we know Triple sensing tech, powerful EIS on video shooting, very gorgeous and unique metal Alkaleido.
Ali Bashir, 04 Jan 2017Please show us where it appears too low!! Lol.The thought of some Xperia compact phone with 720p 4.7 inch screen giving better VR experience than some 2k/4k flaggy, all via PS VR own screen and its 120hz refresh rate ....is mindblogging. :-)
Anonymous, 04 Jan 2017XZ would be useless with VR as its screen resolution is too low...Please show us where it appears too low!! Lol.

I believe Sony will most likely make mobile VR gaming via Playstation VR an Xperia exclusive, most likely integrated into PS Remote Play feature.
Anonymous, 02 Jan 2017Sony does everything right.Yeah right, like lower dxomark score compared to sammy pixel and htc 10. Lol. Strange.. how did z5p get highest dxomark score, wht did sony do to dxo? Hmmmm..

And is compatib... moreThen people will buy ps vr, and use it with non-sony phones. Lol.
Most people still prefer other brands, they won't switch to sony's phones just for vr. And ps vr is not developed by sony's mobile division. Maybe they will make it usable for other brands too, because their mobile division sucks.
Tann Hauser, 03 Jan 2017Actuall, let me correct myself.
Any Xperia owner would be glad to hear this info of PS VR abl... moreNot really, I have never expressed any interest in VR, no matter the platform. My hopes for The future of the Xperia brand is a fix for the camera issues that are still present, a continue to the excellent software support I have been seeing from Sony recently and more development into battery longetivity.
VR is something that as an actual Xperia owner I couldn't care less about, hell I don't give a monkeys about VR and I'm a PS4 owner.
So your little 'any Xperia owner would be glad....' line is provably false and further proof that you speak for no nobody despite your acting as some kind of voice of authority on all things Sony in these sections.
[deleted post]Actuall, let me correct myself.
Any Xperia owner would be glad to hear this info of PS VR able to sream Xperia content.
You being bothered by it, means now Im quite certain you re just a bogus Xperia owner here.
VR lovers rejoice.
Sonys Playstation VR is the most selling screen VR system
And is compatible to recieve max resolution VR content from your Xperia independent of your mobile screen res, via mhl or miracast dongle, in its Cinematic mode :-)
Now thats real mobile VR experience.
Cant wait to see what Sony does next with this Xperia and PS VR compatability. :-)
Sony make believe. :-)
