Just for your information. I am from Slovakia in my company we sell like 40 brands of mobile phones and now what?
To be honest we sell like 30 iphones like month. Like 20 sony. And like 100 xiaomi and 200 lenovo a month. Now what you tell me?
All its about money. Government here says awerage salary here per month its 921 eur. But its counted fromm all poor and rich people. But to be honest like 80% of our population which is about 5,2 milions earn up to 600-700 brutto. I mean 600-700 eur before any taxation. Which gives 500-550 eur of net pay. And now do you think a someone who earn 550 a month will buy a phone for 1300 Iphone X for example? Or samsung S8 with 80 eur price tag. Or XZ premium? I dont think so. Or only stupid ones who rather starve 23-4 months to have this thing.
Man i really dont think somewhere else the system is much different. Here in slovakia after paying all your bills you are happy if you have 200 for food drinks and entertainment.

There's no reason to upgrade from XZP to XZ1 since it has no advantage (other than the metal unibody build, which isn't worth a upgrade).

I'm using P10 Plus as my 2nd phone (XZP as my 1st), and P10P is very good phone.. Great camera, smooth OS and superb build quality, only at $500.. 4 month already, and i'm happy with it..
gustinex, 29 Sep 2017should I get this or the XZs? are the upgrades worth the money?Wait for the next one. You aren't going to buy a phone again just after 6 months.
I just found out, this phone's design is actually different from the XZs and XZ. Both the XZs and XZ have the same thickness and other dimensions, while the XZ1 is thinner and has bigger bezels. At least it's not completely the same body.

Very few devices faced this issue. Sony phones don't have particular overheating issues (check recent reviews ). Sony phones have no quality control issues so please don't spread misinformation.
Blue, 30 Sep 2017I am getting huge signal strength fluctuation with this phone. It keeps going back and forward... moreI also faced signal issues on my Xperia X then I switched to 3G and things are back to normal no issues.
I give up on this phone, the reasons are the following:
1, Overpriced: 750 euro. 5.2 is too small along with 4GB RAM and 64gb internal storage, I mean those could be okay but not for this much!
2, Lack of official supply: Only 1 carrier offers in my country, however its the worst one with horrible data plans and network(3G/1GB/for 10euro) JOKE. GSM shops are risky.
3, Lack of quality control from Sony, around here they are infamous for overheating, randomly shattering screens, and for silence. Too much risk
I am getting huge signal strength fluctuation with this phone. It keeps going back and forward between full signal strength and no signal at all. Sometimes I have to wait 15-20 minutes to get mobile data at all where as I get full stable signal with the same Vodafone and O2 SIMs with other phones. This issue makes the phone unusable.
Anyone else is having this issue?
Siva Bharani, 29 Sep 2017True.. Got my XZ1 two days back.. Impressed by the way Sony made it.Sony's UI is very well optimised and never lag or slow down. Also build quality is superb. Everything is great. Right choice. I'm using my Z3 till now. It is smooth. My next phone will be Sony for sure.
RAM, 29 Sep 2017Sony is more smooth with less ram. That's my point though I'm just replying to one guy who say that it has only 4gb ram and I'm giving e.g. Of ip8 and s8

Ri, 29 Sep 2017Then you can't conclude that only Sony has less ram and more costly.Sony is more smooth with less ram.
after 6 years, sony still has not fixed the low loud speaker, poor low light camera, poor music volume level issues. Sony engineers are so dumb!!! I used to be a big fan. dam it sony.
Finally, my XZ1 arrived. And now after examined it, it has good battery life which can lasts for a day with daily usage like, browsing, WhatsApp and other social media account. And the important is the camera. Before this I commented about XZP camera which really disappointing especially low-light performance. And the XZ1 does the same as XZP, NO IMPROVEMENTS AND REALLY DISAPPOINTING. I've take shots on the road which outside my house, there's some noise on dark sky, blurry and softness on traffic light's light. I activated HDR mode and it does little good job, lower the noise, softness but it's still noticeable and seems washed out. But little improvements from XZP but it's not worth upgrading from XZP to XZ1. For anyone who really cared for camera performance, I suggest Galaxy S8 and newer Samsung flagships. But for smoother performance and regular updates, I suggest for XZ and newer Sony flagships.
