TechNewb, 03 Mar 2018Should I buy this for 2018?.It is buyable even in 2020 unless you want to buy the upcoming Premium ones.
I have been facing network issues and very frequent call drops since Day 1. I bought the phone on October 6th, 2017. Tried the software repair. I didn't help. Whenever I try to make a call or receive a call, the call drops and says "Mobile Network Not available" then two seconds later the network bars reappear. Can anyone please help me!!!
1> s9+ 70k. so can I have something like 90k to beat dslr or compete with any device in the next 5years without going for a new one ?
2> Nokia N97 or Cover over lens.. Any new concept apart from the same bar shaped style ? Like the ability to twist the cam ? So single cam can take selfie @ 19mp. Love the vibration upgarde concept.
( xzp user. Nokia fan since carl zeiss. wi-1000x, sbh 52,mdr-ex31bn &.. user. so its better to die once than to cry every year. Said the reason for loving Nokia, & Sony for Music, it altered my brain a bit i guess :) )
I've waiting for Xperia XZ1 Premium, but it is not come.
I love Sony, But It still the same old Design.
I Hope I can get the Phone like XZ Primium with OLED 4K sreen soon.

I say if XZ Pro gets released, I'll buy it eventually but I hope this will be my last purchase of a phone. Hope sony fixes up the camera low light shots, the super slow mo should be longer, few features that were removed should be brought back and to have less bloatware installed. We all know it's defo going to have true 4k oled screen, doesn't make much of a difference (froom looking) but should be sharp, crisp and better gaming quality than on XZ Premium

But, XZ2 will be no difference because of its 11.1mm thickness.
La viva Sony xperia xz premium, as for the xz2, no hard feelings but the design is terribly awful.. I'd rather go for the graceful big bezels than that oblong shape.you should have stuck to your previous signature design Sony: (..
XZ2 and HTC U11+? Which is better anyways? SD835 or SD845? Or thickness and heavy? Oh and do I really need SD845 in THIS YEAR? So should I buy SD835 in THIS YEAR?
Anonymous, 01 Mar 2018Wait after 2 or 3 years unless you got cash to waste then be my guest. Why even ask?You might be right, here most of us are anxious to buy the XZ Pro and there are people still using a xperia Z or Z1. So tbh, regular normal phone users like us, just forget the upgrade, no point.

To me, the new design is way better than the old one. The new design is much more ergonomic than the slab-like design of the older Xperias. For me, ergonomics are more important than looks.
Omnibalance reached its pinnacle with the Z5. After that, the design just went downhill. The "loop design" used in the XZ series made the phones look like power banks. Plus, they added more bezels while making the devices bigger in all dimensions and also decreasing battery capacities.
It took a few years to perfect omnibalance, so I expect the same to happen with the Sony's new design language.

Glad that they stopped at where they are going for their cameras now and focused on improving the camera software instead of releasing new gimmicks as what I think in my own opinion, which doesn't improve photo quality, I'm glad they realized that. If they have way better results for their photo quality, I assume they will continue making some cool but gimmicky tech for their cameras, no offense, but as of now I think 960fps Super Slow-Mo is still considered a gimmick for most smartphone users out there, maybe it will be considered "useful" next time, but it is great to see brands starting to show how powerful a small smartphone camera sensor can be

I have a Sony XPERIA XZ Premium and I was wondering if I should upgrade to XZ2 Premium?
Okay. Now compare to HTC U11+ more deeper. I'm actually musician producer. Sometimes I play games too in max settings. So what should I use for my daily driver? In speaker, specifications, display, music quality, equalizer, FLAC, Build quality, Beautiful of color. Headphone jack is not important for this comparison.

Hope they nail it this time; it's everything there to be one of the best cameras...

I rather see they keep the old design instead of new kind of horrible design lik... moreActually, instead of totally change the design, they can still stay on their current design present on smartphones before this current XPERIA XZ2. The word "Mirai", defines "future". What is the future design for smartphones now? The urge to push out bezeless smartphones. Their design looks good like on their XPERIA XZ PREMIUM, shaving off the bezels and slightly refine the sides. Okay now they put the fingerprint sensor behind, the placement is fine, but it doesn't feel at home, let's wait till they release one with a under-display fingerprint sensor, that will be great. The side bezels on the XPERIA XZ2, kind of disappointing, the fingerprint sensor is behind the smartphone already, but I see almost no difference in the side bezels, they can definitely put in more effort to it. Well, previously Sony SAMSUNG and LG were praised for keeping the 3.5mm headphone jack, and now they removed it...I don't know why, since they are very good at music, plus removing it doesn't bring any benefits, the thickness didn't even change. This time they really screw up on that. Look at OnePlus, they still stick to their own design, and just trim down the bezels for the OnePlus 5T, with the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack. But nevertheless I am especially concerned with the camera performance...
