IA64, 06 Mar 2017Why is the device so heavy when the 6.0 inches sony is just 180-ish gram ? isn't the 835 Snapd... moreThe weight doesn't come from the SoC... *Facepalm*
Different build materials, different components inside (XZ premium has a graphite sheet inside it)
phonemaster, 06 Mar 2017I confirmWell, your reply was so brief that i couldn't understand. Which fact do you confirm, does installing 'Spirit1 FM apk' allows to listen local Radio stations over air without internet data usage ..??
Another One, 06 Mar 2017It has same size screen...5.5 inch..you can see the official specs in sony xperia official websiteWell ok same screen but smaller battery, smaller internal components etc... I have Z5P and I really like it but it's damn heavy. a heavier zxp is not up to my exceptions

Why is the device so heavy when the 6.0 inches sony is just 180-ish gram ? isn't the 835 Snapdragon smaller than all other processors ? I can't justify the weight !
It's longer, wider and thicker than the Z5P, doesn't have an FM Radio, has smaller microprocessor architecture and SMALLER SCREEN.
How can it be 15 grm heavier than it's predecessor ? it's even heavier than the XA1 ultra !
Can anyone having Xperia XZ confirm if installing 'Spirit1 FM apk' allows to listen local radio stations over air without internet data usage ??
therons, 06 Mar 2017Sony XZ premium pros :
- SD 835
- 4k Hdr
- 64 internal storage
- slow motion 960 fps
- e... moreHuh? XZ Premium doesn't have an S Pen nor Iris Scanner, and neither a dual camera.
The Camera software has been refined, and it doesn't take a minute or two to get used to it.
The Battery is decent for the screen size (S8 will have 3,000mAh battery to power the 5.8" QHD Display), and Sony's power of battery optimization with the help of Qnovo Battery Technology, and even the power efficiency of the SD835, the phone should last a full day or even two.
Excellent, but... Continue to use Xperia Z5 Premium, until radio and IP68 together...
that's the most beautiful Sony mobile (in my opinion) but Sony really have to start trimming the bezels

As it should be, sony have decades of experience with hardware and software.
Was prepared to buy a galaxy s8, and then Sony rocks out yet another insane phone.
No S8 anymore.
